Since I don’t have kids to share this with, I’m passing along to you all. This is a very easy recipe and even though I’d say I “don’t like” sauerkraut, for some reason this is a great combo. (recipe in comments)

No idea where this recipe came from originally, but it’s a favorite of mine.
Recipe:
– Country-style spareribs (mine came in a pack of 3. I use boneless, you can use bone-in just prepare to pick out the bones – 14 oz sauerkraut, rinsed and drained – 1 med onion, chopped – 1 bottle Heinz Chili Sauce – about 1/2 cup chicken broth – Potatoes
Directions – Flour, s&p spareribs, brown on both sides, remove from pan – Sauté onion – Add sauerkraut, chili sauce, onion to crockpot, give it a stir. – Add spareribs, cover them with kraut mixture
Start on high for and hour or so, switch to low and cook for 8-10 hours. After 8, poke your spareribs, if they aren’t falling apart easily give it a couple more hours. Add chicken broth as needed, you don’t want it too watery.
Meanwhile, boil potatoes (with skins) Rough smash with a bit of butter, salt & pepper.
Serve finished ribs&kraut mixture over potatoes.
Hope you like it!
