I live in the UK and can’t get the same peppers that are in the Americas. If I wanted to cook the famous chicken verde, what peppers could I use instead?

Here is a page that links to some common varieties that are available to me.

I would go with the Turkish round green peppers, since you can’t get poblano peppers. Toss in a de-seeded jalapeño too👍

I would try combining the Turkish sweet with bell peppers. I would avoid bell peppers.

You can get the jalapeños. Turkish sweet long peppers should work as a sub for Cubanelles/Anaheims. And regular green bell peppers will be the closest you have to poblanos.

Also are you able to find tomatillos? If you aren’t aware, they’re not just green tomatoes but pretty different.

I would also use green tomatoes in place of tomatillos
