Basbousa, also known as revani or harissa, is a traditional Middle Eastern and Mediterranean dessert made primarily from semolina flour, sugar, yogurt, and coconut, soaked in syrup after baking. However, when it comes to “Basbousa cream filled,” it’s a delightful variation where the classic Basbousa is enhanced with a creamy filling.
INGREDIENTS
Fine Semolina – 2 Cups
Melted Margarine – 240ml (1 Cup)
Desiccated Coconut – 1/2 Cup (50g)
Sugar – 1/2 Cup (100g)
Milk Powder – 2 Tbsp
Baking Powder – 1 Tbsp
Salt – 1/4 Tsp
Vanilla Extract – 2 Tsp
Eggs – 2 Large
Curd – 170g (3/4 Cup)
Milk – If Needed To Adjust Batter Consistency
Milk – 2 Cups (480Ml)
Corn Flour – 50g (1/3 Cup)
Milk Powder – 40g (1/3 Cup)
Sugar – 50g (1/4 Cup)
SUGAR SYRUP
Sugar – 1 1/2 Cups (300g)
Water – 180ml (3/4 Cup)
Lemon Or Lime juice – 1 Tsp
