We were required to make a ham sandwich using the sponsor’s ham.
Sandwich description: Chicken-fried ham coated in crushed ginger snaps, with the sponsor’s honey-bourbon bacon, a honey-siracha-mayo spread, fresh mixed greens, and topped with a slaw of apple-cabbage-roasted pecans.
It was the top placing sandwich of the day and moved me up from 7th place to 3rd.
