I tried to post this in r/hotones but got everyone saying it’s guaranteed real. Nothing really is.
This is in no way meant to detract from Sean or Conan. They both are interview legends in their own right and Conan’s commitment to having fun and being outlandish is second to none.
Was that really hot sauce he chugged or a prop bottle?
I mean no disrespect and I’ve only seen it mentioned in the YouTube comments. Did he actually drink real hot sauce? Letterman used to always do bits where he would eat toothpaste or moisturizing cream which was clearly replaced for a gag. I’m somewhat skeptical given how earlier episodes people are in agony and more recent ones people breeze through it. Makes me wonder if they tailor it for each guest which I’m sure they do but this can’t be real.
He even sets up the fact that he can’t handle spice and brings a doctor.
