(3-5) Opened tin – with sauce poured off – and with fish in a bowl
(6-7) I pored every drop of this citrusy and very bright tomato sauce on my hot Jasmine rice
(8-9) Recommended to eat with lots of chopped raw onions and some mushroom soy sauce
(10-11) The bowl and the bite – sauce is super tangy and the first are mild, citrusy, and delicious. A unique tin I already need more of

Wow I’m so glad I grabbed this tin! I have Benetton seen it before, but the 99 Ranch on Plano had reorganized their store, and added these interesting eye-catching sardines.
I love sour citrus flavors, and especially lime flavor. I’ve seen Calamansi Limes on the Food Network TV show Chopped, and in our local Thai market – but I’ve never tried them.
I gotta get me some now – WOW! HUGE lime flavor, amazing with fish.
I have enjoyed every Ligo tin I’ve tried. Their Extra Hot, Sriracha, and Gata Style tins are unique and amazing invitations to explore Filipino cuisine, and this one is no exception.
There were 5 sardines in this can, with about 1/3 c. of a super-bright very citrusy thin tomato sauce. I tasted a lot of the fish – which had also absorbed a lot that lime flavor. Wow – just WOW!!

I had this tin over fresh hot rice and – tin of chopped fresh onions as suggested by the article “Sardines All the Ways” on the Rappler website: https://www.rappler.com/life-and-style/food-drinks/sardines-recipes/
After 2 bites I knew I had to go back for a couple more of these tins, especially after u/jane_jana shared with me now their mom cooked these:
