Ingredients
2 Thomas Farms Filet Mignon steaks
3-4 garlic cloves, minced
1-2 tablespoons olive oil
2 tablespoons chopped herbs – thyme, rosemary and parsley
1 teaspoon Kosher salt
½ teaspoon black pepper Garlic Butter
2-3 tablespoons softened butter
1 tablespoon chopped herbs
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon black pepper
1-2 garlic cloves, minced
Instructions
Allow the steak to come to room temperature for at least 30 minutes before cooking. Pat dry.
In a small bowl, combine the garlic, olive oil, chopped herbs, salt and pepper. Rub the mixture over both sides of the steak.
Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a cast iron skillet for about 2 minutes over high heat.
Once the oil is hot, add the steak to the hot pan and cook for 4 minutes. Flip and cook for another 4-5 minutes for medium rare.
While the steak is cooking, mix the garlic butter ingredients in a bowl and set aside.
Let the steak rest for 5 minutes. Serve topped with garlic butter and your favorite sides such as risotto and asparagus.
