Admittedly I don't cook with chili peppers often, but should it be this tiny?
I was already planning to make it mild by not using much.

These are Thai chilis (AKA Bird’s eye chilis), and they are extremely spicy. I only add half of one of those tiny peppers and adjust from there.
ETA: I had no idea that people constantly ask about this here because I am only an occasional visitor when boredom is at its apex. (This does not occur often, as my life is mostly spent hurtling toward a deep, dark abyss of chores, work, and Google reminders.) However, if you get the meals for 4 people, save the second pepper and freeze it for curry. 👍

Yes. Someone brings up the size of these peppers a few times a week.

As someone who has a higher spice tolerance, I buy my own peppers.

Another day, another post about chili peppers and their size.

Probably don’t use that if you want it to be mild…

Yes that normal for that type of pepper

Okay I feel fully embarrassed now! I’m very sorry for asking about the pepper! I very rarely cook with peppers and I have now learned the errors of my ways! You can all have a laugh because I tried a tiny nibble to see how hot it was and yes I regretted it for the next half hour…. ended up not using any but soup was good.
I wish instead of “chili pepper” it was more specific because I did actually try googling “chili pepper” before I asked. But I didn’t think to search in this group or looking in relation to hello fresh.

Hey I made this tonight🤣 my chili was super tiny too! I didn’t use all of it because I was too scared but I definitely could’ve!

It’s not the size that matters, it’s how you use it. 🙃

Yes, those pack a punch. Made this dish last night, I thought the same thing and used what they tell you to use for 4 people (it was only for my wife and I). We like spicy, and it was definitely up there.
