Lentils soup for dinner tonight. Tomorrow I will add some pasta, probably I will break some spaghetti how nonna used to do, to the left over and have it for lunch.

Is there a region this is popular? Reminds me of Greek food.

Great traditional Italian recipe: soffritto with onion, carrot and celery (a bit French!), soak the lentils overnight, salt, bay leaf, and a bit of tomato paste (concentrate). Serve with oils. Scraps of making pasta or broken spaghetti are traditional.
