Preparation
- In large bowl combine flour and salt. Cut in butter and shortening until mixture resembles coarse meal.
- With fork stir in egg and enough water to moisten dry ingredients.
- Divide dough in half, place each half on sheet of waxed paper and press into a flattened disk. Chill at least one hour before rolling.
