I ordered 3 meals this week, which comes out to about $70. The meat was frozen when I put it away and I didnāt see any issues. After relaxing when I got home from work, I went to start cooking but noticed there was ājuiceā all over the shelf. Low and behold, one of the meat packs leaked all over once it thawed out and the juices soaked into the other paper bags and covered the bottom of the other meat packets too.
I tossed everything because Iām not risking contamination and contacted support. I chose to speak to a live agent, and told them I had to throw out everything. They gave me $59 back for the meals, but that didnāt cover the shipping fee. I asked for the shipping fee to be refunded and they did it immediately! Iām very sad I donāt have any meals this week but at least I got my money back.

My fridge is usually pretty empty, so I always use one of the drawers to store my meat.
Meats go immediately into a gallon plastic bag for me
I put mine in a bowl for this exact reason.
I always put any meat, hello fresh or otherwise, in a bag and then in a glass bowl.
I usually contact support when it leaks and they give me a credit.
Once you have this happen once youāll never let it happen again
I always put my meats in small freezer bags and those I’m not using in the next two nights in the freezer. It prevents things like this happening. Even if the package isn’t leaking, the thawing process might make things wet
You should always put raw meat on the bottom shelf of your fridge for this exact reason, I notice itās on possibly the top shelf meaning that it may of dripped down onto everything else in the fridge causing cross contamination
I put them in a plastic bag as soon as I unload them, and then into a plastic tub for extra security.
Had my chicken leak too when receiving it š
