Hey, everybody, it’s Jason Wrobel here again
on The J-Wro Show from
JasonWrobel.com.
That’s Jason W-R-O-B as in baby, E-L.com.
So if you guys
have been checking on my videos, you know
that some of them are here on The
J-Wro Show and some of them are over on SunWarrior
Tribe, hooking me up
with amazing super foods.
So if you guys haven’t subscribed yet, go
over to
SunWarrior Tribe, give them a subscription,
and check out my raw chili
recipe.
Now, as an accoutrement, an accompaniment,
a partner in crime, the Robin to
its Batman, if you will, I’m going to be doing
this fresh, raw, vegan,
mango avocado salsa to pair with that recipe.
So after this one, jump over
there, check out their recipe on SunWarrior
Tribe, and then pair the two
together, and you’re just going to be like
[makes sounds], something like
that.
Let’s begin.
Now the first thing, of course, in a mango
avocado salsa is a mango.
You
can go with a Kent mango, which is this in
front of you, or if they’re in
season, which is a very short season, they
have these smaller yellow
varietal, which are called Ataulfo mangoes.
Those are my absolute favorite.
They’re incredible, like candy, but since
we couldn’t find Ataulfos, we’re
going to go with Kent.
So let’s peel this, and I’m going to show
you guys a really easy to way to
peel and dice a mango the proper way.
Check it out.
Now ideally the best
type of knife that I like to use to cut a
mango is a serrated blade.
You
could do this with a straight blade.
I just find that, much like tomatoes
or other soft fruits, a serrated blade just
cuts through really nice and
easily, so watch how it’s done.
So when all your mango is diced, just go
ahead and add it to a medium size mixing bowl.
So next up, we have one of my other top five
favorite foods.
I didn’t
mention that mango is actually is in my top
five.
Avocado is one of my top
five.
We’ve got coconut in there.
We’ve got Kakao, and probably the fifth
would be kale.
Yeah, pretty good top five.
But anyway, the avocado is
super, super easy to dice.
You can actually dice it in the shell, and
let
me show you the quickest and easiest way to
dice up an avocado.
So as you can see, the idea here is to make
about four vertical cuts and
four to five horizontal cuts in the avocado
because then all you have to do
is put it over the bowl, squeeze it lightly,
and watch the
"chunkification."
Check this out.
Okay, so a little trick whenever you’re doing
stuff with fresh avocado is
you keep the pit.
Yeah, so if you’re not going to plan on eating
all this
salsa in one go, what you want to do is take
the pit, drop it right in
there.
Seriously, this is like totally old school,
but it works.
Now the
second thing, other than the great flavor,
when you put an acid with
avocado, or any fruit that browns quickly,
apple, avocado, we put lime
juice or lemon juice because that helps to
prevent the oxidation.
So in
this case, we’re going to do two tablespoons,
or one medium lime, of lime
juice fresh in there.
Watch this.
Now that our lime juice is in there mixing
and mingling, I’m going to add
about 1/3 to 1/2 cup of fresh cilantro, which
is an amazing detoxifier.
It’s one of the best ingredients you can eat
if you’re trying to chelate
heavy metals or just detoxify on a regular
basis.
So about 1/3 to 1/2 of
fresh cilantro and about the same amount of
fresh cherry or grape tomatoes.
Now, to really bring out all the flavors,
I do like to add a little pinch
of Himalayan crystal salt or sea salt just
to round the whole thing out and
a little sprinkle of hemp seeds here for some
extra protein and a nice
mouth feel.
And then our final ingredient, just to really
kick up the mineralization
here, is SunWarrior Liquid Light fulvic acid.
This is a very neutral-
tasting mineral supplement that you can add
to salad dressings, soups,
smoothies, elixirs, or in this case, a little
splash in our mango avocado
salsa.
Really easy to do.
About one capful is going to give you your
full
daily requirement of your essential trace
minerals, including magnesium and
iron and silica, which a lot of you all out
there are deficient in.
Trust
me, I notice.
So just one big capful should do.
Now let’s give all this a quick stir, get
everybody playing nice in the
sandbox together.
It smells delicious.
Now again, you could eat this just
plain on its own, or you could pair it with
something really, really nice
and spicy, like I think some of that raw chili
that’s hanging out in the
fridge.
Yeah, let’s check.
Oh, yeah.
Oh, yeah, there’s chili in this fridge.
Okay,
I think this is when you cue that song, "Reunited,
and it feels so good.
Reunited, because it’s understood."
Salsa and chili, we’re going there.
Before though, I think it’s probably proper
that I take a taste, don’t you?
The answer is yes.
So what I like to do is just get a nice, healthy,
fresh dollop of this
salsa right on top there, guys.
Let’s get some more of the tomato action on
top, yeah.
It’s almost so pretty.
I don’t know if I want to . . . I do want
to eat it.
Yes, I do.
I do want to eat you.
Okay.
So we’ve just got to dive
in at this point.
There’s nothing left to do.
So again, the only challenge
in so many of my recipes, you guys, is knowing
when you’re about to take it
to the face, getting everything in one bite.
I don’t know if that’s
possible, but we’re going to try.
Here we go.
Okay.
Oh, wow.
So if you guys dug this mango avocado salsa
recipe, give this video a
thumbs up and let me know in the comments
below what’s your favorite
condiment.
Is it like a spicy mustard?
Is it sriracha?
Is it hot sauce?
Let
me know your favorite condiment.
I’d love to go to the market and try it or
maybe create a version here on the show.
All right, guys, so this is J-Wro here on

  6. Yum this looks awesome! I am making the chili for lunch right now, I dont have mangos tho so I will have to make it another time using both! You're the best Jason!

  7. I tried '8 Olivos Premium EVOO' and WOW!! I have been corrupted by bad olive oil. It is very light and clean or fresh tasting. I was definitely not prepared for the difference between this product and store bought olive oil. I think my taste buds need to adjust to the taste of good olive oil vs crap. I was expecting that motor oil taste and this is incredibly light and clean. I truly recommend
