



Multiple pics! Last pic shows the whole clam for size reference. Dug these up with a group of friends over the weekend during low tide.
Prepared a platter of Horseneck (Gaper) Clam sashimi from the siphons and steamed the body sections over noodles. The dark parts in the sashimi platter is the tip of the siphon.

Is there difference between these and geoducks?
Where I’m from, these are called Pacific razor clams, very delicious, and much easier to break down than other clam species (and quite forgiving to cooking technique).
