I bought this for $270. I am planning to clean, but would love any advice community may offer 🙂

Don’t use gasoline or diesel to clean it, your steak will taste off for weeks and your kids will complain that they’re going blind.. then your wife will leave saying something about “stupid choices” and “prioritizing grilling and mowing over family safety”

I use an aerosol stainless steel cleaner to shine up the stainless. Everything else seems to streak.

Wash with soap and water. Then Use a purpose stainless steel cleaner and wipe on the outside only.

If you really must clean the inside. Use a wirebrush to loosen rust smoke residue etc.

Then Soap and water. And apply any foodgrade oil. To the griddle or grill plates.

Heat it high up. To burn the oil to the grillplates.

That’s a great deal. I use soapy warm water and a sponge to clean the outside. If you use a stainless steel cleaner, make sure you scrub with the grain or you’ll leave noticeable scratches because most SS cleaners contain small grit for polishing.

I use a plastic scraper to scrape out old grease and burnt food from the inside of the grill. You can use a degreaser if you have a particularly gross grill, but you really just need to clear major debris to make it usable. Line the drip pan with aluminum foil and scrape everything towards the bottom of the grill into the drip pan for easy gunk removal. Use a wire brush to clean the grates and flavorizer bars.

Weber makes a great grill. They sell parts on their website for new and obsolete models so you can keep yours in good working order as long as you feel like keeping it.
