all right you know like a mic drop i’m
doing a fork drop
this was so good you guys
welcome back everyone to catherine’s
plates where it’s always simple easy and
delicious in my kitchen
today i’ve got my crock pot out because
i want to show you
how to make one of my favorites in easy
chicken alfredo now this sauce
is such a delicious sauce and it’s going
to be made all inside of the crock pot
with everything
else that’s why it’s a dump and go now
we’re going to
keep away from the pots the pans and
the dishes today right here
the pasta the chicken the sauce all
in one crock pot okay guys if you’re
ready
let’s go ahead and get started
okay guys so we’re going to go ahead and
get started what i love about dump and
go recipes is that you just put
everything into the crock pot and let it
do its thing
all day or even maybe half a day so the
first thing we’re going to do is we’re
going to create the sauce and we’re
going to put everything into the crock
pot and give that a whirl
so i’m going to put one cup of chicken
broth
two cups of some heavy whipping cream
okay now what i’m doing is i’m grating
five ounces of parmesan
into the crock pot here now you can get
it that’s already
shaved if you want to do that
nothing is like fresh parmesan cheese
it smells so delicious
now this whole triangle right here that
i’m grating in is five ounces
there we go that is what’s going to give
you a delicious creamy
flavor i’m going to add one teaspoon
of garlic powder
just using a half spoon here
half a teaspoon of salt
half a teaspoon of pepper
half a teaspoon of paprika
about quarter teaspoon of some cayenne
pepper now you do not have to add this
if you don’t want to
just like to add just a little more
warmth to ours
okay i’m going to blend this all
together
okay now what i have here is about two
pounds of
chicken breast that i kind of cut up
just into slices and then cut those just
kind of in half
so they can cook faster i’m going to
place this all into my crock pot
and smother it into that sauce
okay now what i’m going to do is place
some pats of
butter around it
so i’m taking about two tablespoons of
butter
and just kind of strategically place it
around
i’ve got some minced garlic about one
tablespoon and i’m just going to put
that around
[Music]
okay we’re gonna put our lid on it and
we’re gonna cook this on
low for about four hours or on high for
two to three hours and then we’re gonna
finish this off
okay so my chicken has been in the sauce
here for about three
hours on high and i can tell that it’s
already done it’s falling apart so what
i’m gonna do
is take my chicken out place it on a
cutting board and i’m gonna chop
up the chicken and then we’re going to
add the pasta
and cook that
[Music]
i’m just cutting these into nice
bite-sized pieces
all right so what i’m going to do now is
add this back into my crock pot and then
i’m going to add
eight ounces
of penne pasta or you can use any pasta
that you would like
and what you want to do is just make
sure that your pasta is submerged into
the liquid
if your crock pot is not on high go
ahead and put it on the high
setting
we’ll put a lid back on it i’m going to
cook this for another
30 to 40 minutes depends on what pasta
you’re using
just give it a check around the 30
minute mark okay
take a look at this my chicken alfredo
from the crock pot
it took about 40 minutes after i put the
pasta in and then i just added
a little bit of extra chicken broth to
kind of give it enough liquid there
y’all it is perfectly cooked and
done let me plate this up for you
[Music]
okay i’m going in for my bite look at
that tender
pasta that creamy sauce and that chicken
all blended together
[Music]
um
all right you know like a mic drop i’m
doing a pork drop

Question….what did you sprinkle on the pasta after you served it? Fresh or dried parsley? No mention of it in the recipe or the video.
Thanks
I have a suggestion. With recipes that have you remove the chicken when it's cooked, cut into bite sized pieces and replace in crock pot for next step in recipe, why not cut the raw chicken into bite sized pieces and then when it's cooked you'd be done with it. No having to remove it from the sauce you're making to cut it up. I tried this Sunday with this recipe and it worked perfectly.
Sounds really good!

Thank you Catharine! Your Crockpot Chicken Alfredo is my fav and my family loves it! The only thing I add is a little bit of Italian Seasoning after I put the noodles in to cook with the shredded chicken and sauce.
