My MIL lives w us. I straight up buy her the cheapest I can find for steak night because of this exact thing. She’s yuckd my tums far too many times. Bought prime and she put it directly in the microwave after bringing her steak to 145f. That was the last time. If she wants leather I’ll make leather. Weirdly enough it’s fine now. Outside of she still lives with us.

I feel your pain in regards to the MIL. Mine is like that, too. She thinks all meat should be cooked until it resembles hockey pucks and is as dry as a bone. If there’s any juice remaining, it’s not done. Thankfully, she refuses to cook now, so we’re spared choking down her shoe leather. My poor FIL loves eating at our house.

I dunno man, I know lots of people who prefer meat well done. Even if I made it med rare in the sous vide I’d grill them in the cast iron until well done to accommodate my guests
