Ingredients:
1 ball (about 250-300 g) pizza dough
150 g tomato sauce
150 g mozzarella cheese
1 small tomato
Fresh basil leaves
Salt and pepper to taste
Olive oil
Instructions:
Prepare the pizza dough or use store-bought dough. Preheat the oven to 250°C (or as high as your oven will go).
On a clean, floured surface, roll out the pizza dough into a round or oval shape, about half a centimeter thick.
Transfer the dough to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or sprinkled with flour.
Spread the tomato sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges.
Slice the mozzarella cheese into slices or grate it coarsely. Distribute the mozzarella evenly over the sauce.
Slice the tomato into thin rounds or half-rounds and place them on the pizza.
Season with salt and pepper to taste. Drizzle a little olive oil over the pizza.
Bake the pizza in the preheated oven for about 10-12 minutes or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
After baking, garnish the pizza with fresh basil leaves.
