welcome everyone to conference plates
I’m Katherine your host today what I
would like to do is show you what to do
with that leftover corned beef that you
have in your refrigerator I am going to
turn it into a corned beef hash so it’s
going to be simple easy and very
delicious with yummy flavors and
seasonings it’s going to be fast you
guys so grab your corned beef
grab your skillet let’s just put this
thing together okay to get started what
I’m gonna do now is I’ve got my skillet
on a medium-high heat I’ve got two Pat’s
of butter and they’re starting to melt
up and then I’m going to add a little
bit of oil and while that is doing its
thing I’m gonna start getting my pepper
and my onion diced up now just thinking
about the vegetables you can put in here
okay you don’t want to put peppers in
there if you want put sweet peppers
you know the different colored peppers
that’s totally fine
whereas dice these up into just small
dices and under stuff the peppers into
my pans
first off take a little bit longer
peppers in here I don’t know about you
guys I really love when peppers and
onions are sauteing they smell so
delicious then you know what you know
something that happened you know it
something is going to happen
[Music]
and let’s start getting these nice and
soft gonna take my onion here do the
same thing just diced it up now I’m
using a small onion cuz that a lot a lot
of onion in there so if you’re using the
large onion you can just you know cut it
in half and just put half of that in
there cut it in half make slices about
3/4 of the way to the onion and then
just drag my knife through it that’s a
nice dice sized pieces I don’t want them
too small that’s perfect right there
that’s my peppers
[Music]
[Music]
okay I’m gonna add a little bit of salt
and a little bit of pepper just to get
the seasoning started
I’m gonna finish cooking these down for
about three minutes until they’re nice
and soft and translucent gosh it smells
so good y’all let’s just keep adding the
layers of flavor two teaspoons of garlic
better to go in there I’m gonna cook
that down for one minute
[Music]
oh my gosh it is so delicious okay guys
if you were lucky enough and have
leftover potatoes to put with your
corned beef that’s great you could just
dice those up and put those into the
peppers and onions right now but since I
wasn’t because you know my family ate
the heck out of those potatoes too I’m
just using these southern hash browns
now they just look like potatoes okay
nice cut potatoes are diced potatoes so
what I’m gonna do is add two cups of
these into my pan here now you can find
these in your frozen section next to
like the french fries and tater tots I
think this thing is ready there we go
and we’re gonna give this a mix
[Music]
okay so just use your judgment if you
want to add more potatoes you can
certainly put more potatoes in there
[Music]
which I think I’m going to do
we go
[Music]
okay we’re gonna go ahead now and start
seasoning with some really delicious
seasonings here we’re gonna start off
with some paprika I’m just going to
shake it all over the top layer here now
give it some nice flavor and additional
color there now I’m using some Italian
seasoning here and let me tell you
what’s all in there marjoram rosemary
thyme savory stage oregano and basil
that sounds so delicious let’s go ahead
put on one tablespoon
little more pepper and some salt
I guess these on those potatoes okay
let’s go ahead get that all mixed up my
gosh it smells delicious in here
poor thing I need to put in the hair all
right I’m just gonna add a little bit
more butter in there just to kind of
keep it moist we want with too much in
there because we do want to be able to
fry these up you know make sure it’s
nice and crisp on the edges of the
potatoes okay get my towel wipe your
hands here okay
well that look good we’re not done yet
[Music]
okay so I’ve got my leftover brisket on
my cutting board here and what I’m
looking to do is cut this and make about
two cups of dices if you haven’t seen my
video yet on corned beef brisket and the
cabbage I cooked it on the stovetop for
hours with a beefy broth and delicious
flavors and seasonings that the brisket
came with which is nice I mean it puts
it all together for you I’ll link it
down below and I’ll also put a card up
above me here I’m gonna speed through
this for you guys and then we’ll bring
it right back as soon as I get it all
chopped up okay we’re not in yet here is
my corned beef brisket then I chopped up
threes looking to add that right on the
top
[Music]
oh my gosh all right we’re gonna stir
this all up and what we’re wanting to do
is eat the brisket through and make sure
the potatoes are nice and crispy just do
that I’m going to just kind of flatten
everything down here we’ve got one more
thing to put on top okay I’m going to do
one flip on this crisp up the outside of
it
[Music]
okay so you can stop it at this point
once you get it nice and crisp on the
bottom edge there and just make sure
taste your potato and your brisket make
sure it’s nice and heated through or you
can finish it the way I’m gonna finish
that now I’m taking some eggs here and
I’m gonna crack one in a bowl put my
shell right there and then I’m gonna put
this right on top of my hash just like
that I’m to do plug them and then we let
them sit there you cook all the way
through
[Music]
well don’t those eggs look pretty y’all
if you stick around to put the eggs on
the hashbrowns make sure you just make
sure you put that tinfoil over or you
can put a lid on top of your skillet
just to cook the eggs on the outside
there look at how beautiful that looks
[Music]
[Music]
corned beef hash what are you doing with
your leftover corned beef now I have the
optional egg on top also which gives it
a few extra minutes in the pan but it
was so worth a look at that right there
I’m going in
there’s no light
that is so delicious all those flavors
that were cooked in the core mix to
begin with matches with the flavors I
put in there now but I hashed okay guys
you want to put a my egg on there that
is so perfect all right give me a thumbs
