I have two scotch bonnets that are having funky new growth. the leaves are slightly curling inwards and are bumpy/misshaped. some of the older growth has glove shaped leaves too but they look fine. Could this be edema or cal deficiency? or maybe even overwatering/ poor air flow? Right now i have them in my garage under a grow light until they can be moved outside (still having nights in the 40’s) Or are they healthy and i’m overconcerned lol. Just watered yesterday so the soil is still wet. also, can anyone identify the random sprout in the second pic? i used last years soil mixed with composted manure and curious if it has a stray pepper seed in it.

Have you ever grown scotch bonnets before?

They look fine to me. I just looked at my scotch bonnets for reference.

With that said, maybe get em outside during the day if possible so they can get some airflow.

Also that other plant isn’t a pepper. Maybe a cucumber based on the sharpe true leaves. Or a weed. 🤷🏾‍♂️

They look really green and healthy to me. My aji dulce has leaves like that too so it’s probably normal. Make sure to have a fan near and don’t water too often

My scotch bonnets are looking pretty similar, still trying to adjust from a grow light to the Coastal NC sun!
