On our last family BBQ we grilled asparagus, chorizos, churrasco and made some salads and side dishes!! I tried to keep the video focused just on the asparagus while showing a bit of everything else.

Our grill is half gas half charcoal, so we were grilling simultaneously in both sides.
hi today we’re making grilled asparagus
uh we’re making a family barbecue we’re
grilling meats chorizo so we have lots
of salsas and salad and one of the side
dishes will be grilled asparagus so i
have here
a pound of asparagus and before i um
i start drizzling olive oil and adding
salt and pepper to the asparagus i have
cleaned it and i let it drain and now
i’ll have to cut off this part that is a
little bit dry and doesn’t taste as good
when when you eat this part of the
asparagus so on the first
i’ll try to okay wherever it’s not
that’s how much i’m gonna cut from all
of them
so we cut out about an inch from the
first uh asparagus so i’ll line them up
and then i’ll proceed in cutting about
that much from all of them

last one
here we go so now we have the asparagus
all ready
what i do is like add the asparagus on a
serving tray
will drizzle olive oil on the asparagus
[Music]
i try to coat them all evenly
[Music]
then i add some mediterranean sea
[Music]
salt and finally pepper black pepper
[Music]
i’ll cut a lemon and drizzle some lemon
juice
over the asparagus as well
okay and we’ll let this marinate for a
little bit while we light up the grill
and start grilling

our grill has two sides the charcoal
side and the gas side my husband was
grilling the meats and the chorizos on
the charcoal side and then we used the
gas side for the asparagus and that day
i if i remember correctly we also
grilled some peppers
so you put the marinated asparagus on
the grill once it’s hot enough
place them um perpendicular to the
to the slabs
we did an experiment and put some
asparagus on the charcoal side as well
to see which one would cook faster but
the main
side dish was cooked on the gas side
after about three minutes uh try to
flip all the asparagus use tongs
otherwise it’s too hot you cannot do it
by hand
and then after another three or four
minutes i remove the asparagus from the
grill and serve it warm with the rest of
the side dishes
that sunday we prepared um churrasco
salsa criolla
chimichurri
and orange salad chorizo chorizo
perrilliero
so it feels like a family event and
everybody was um preparing something
here you see my husband putting salt on
the churrasco and then the orange salad
uh the chimichurri so we’ll be posting
more recipes of our family meals please
