This is new to me as I don’t use the egg much over winter, but came out to this – this egg was purchased nearly 14 years ago, I don’t have proof of purchase or anything like that.
Will this affect the eggs use and continue to get worse?

Looks superficial, are there cracks that run through the shell? It doesn’t look like the end of the world.

If you can’t file a warranty claim for it, it probably won’t affect the usage much, but keep an eye on the area for any cracks during or after high-temp cooks. You can get some BGE touch-up paint from a local dealer and paint it to match, and it should be pretty close (though there may be a slight difference due to the exposure to the elements on the existing paint)
