First time grower here, about three weeks ago I started to notice on my San Marzano tomato plants that some of the older leaves were starting to curl up. I didn’t think much of it at first, but then it started to get worse and worse each day I checked on them until now where pretty much all 13 of my plants have had their older / lower growth leaves shrivel up and fall to the ground, giving them the long slender appearance that you see. The entire branches either fell off on their own or I pruned them off. I posted about this maybe two ish weeks ago and some people seemed to believe that root rot is causing this, which I would understand as I definitely may have been over watering them (I now space out the watering to every 2-3 days) but I was reading up on root rot and some sources were saying root rot typically affects the newer / higher growth first? So not sure what to believe. I obviously should have tackled this problem much sooner so that’s on me, but I was wondering if there was any way I could save these plants from completely dying or if it’s just over at this point. Thanks!

i am trying to work out how deep are your pots, and are you seeing roots out the bottom of your pots? they look okay but would do better if you pot into taller pots. then you bury the plants as deep as possible to get good root growth.
leaves do fall off thats okay. are they loosing them equally they might need more light.

Young tomatoes are very resilient, yours will be just fine. Like someone else said when you plant in the final location, you can bury them deep so that much of the stem is underground, that will help the plant grow more roots. If you have the ability to, pointing a fan towards them while they are still indoors will help to strengthen/thicken the stems.
