i started my barista job 4 months ago and started steaming milk maybe 2-3 months ago. sometimes my milk turns out good and i can pour something decent but its never consistent. any tips on having a consistent steaming technique?
something i struggle with is the angle of the pitcher. i dont understand how to adjust the angle of the pitcher when im doing something wrong. you know how the stretching phase is very quiet sometimes? i found that thats when my milk turns out the best but i dont know how to achieve that.
i angle the jug slightly to the side but does the forward/backward angle affect the steaming process? all the videos i’ve seen stress the importance of angling it slightly to the side to get a vortex going but nothing about the forward/backward angle.
so many questions i know, any tips?
