White Chicken Chilli – 2:34

Baked Rice – 6:31

Tomato Pie – 17:46
6 cups tomatoes chunked or thinly sliced, lightly salted (drain well, towel works well)
2 large onions sliced (sautéed)
2 lbs bacon cooked and crumbled
3 cups mozzarella cheese
2 cups mayo
(makes about 3 pies)
Bake and cool pie crust. Place drained tomatoes on crust, top with bacon and onions Mix mayo and cheese and cover pie. Bake at 350 for 15 minutes. Let stand 10 minutes before cutting.
I used someone else’s recipe for the baked spinach dip, I will include it here once I have it.

not going to lie the cook week is one Vlog that I feel like I don’t know how to start properly I don’t know especially during winter I I’m thinking it has to do with the fact that everything is still dark when I go to the kitchen but yeah welcome to another Vlog this is another cook week one so get ready for good [Music] recipes [Music] [Music] for lunch we had Ducks baked carrots and parsnips a baked potato and a salad a tossed salad [Music] [Music] [Music] see [Music] [Music] infection [Music] [Music] [Music] so [Music] for supper we had white chicken chili as well as a roasted broccoli zucchini and onion dish and I’m sure there’s a salad somewhere I guess I was just not feeling it that day the yellow tomatoes the tiny yellow tomatoes in the kitchen are finished so I thought I’d go pick some because we want some for lunch tomorrow and I don’t mind it’s so nice it’s gorgeous the weather is perfect and I I just want to walk the fresh air is wonderful they taste like candy they are so sweet but they’re so much better than [Music] candy here for breakfast we were supposed to have pumpkin bread which turned out to be a fail more on that later on in the video for lunch we had Broiler halves am Maris made a stir fry with mushrooms onions and string beans pickles there was a tomato as well no sorry there was a potato as well but potatoes are not quite my thing so I almost never eat any to be honest and quite real with you guys I actually only ate them in my cook week and that is maybe two two or three times the entire week we are cooking and we have a potato every [Music] day you know this is what I do when I come home from the kitchen in soad of taking a break from cooking I continue on and make marshmallows because I love them so and lately I love to come over the kitchen make myself a cup of tea and add my pumpkin spice marshmallows which oh my goodness that is amazing I’m a pumpkin fanatic and I wanted to experiment when it’s almost ready just add a little bit of pumpkin pie spice uh I did a lot because I love pumpkin pie spice and it’s absolutely amazing and it also makes your tea taste just phenomenal today they’re also removing the carrots the parsnips and the beets so if you’re the cook around our around our place anyways you are in charge of washing the rags in the kitchen Rags towels whatever and that would be me this week my partner will do it next time around we take turns mom quickly threw them into the washing machine for me before she left to go to the garden thank you so much Mom and now I have to go check see if they’re ready to throw into the dryer throw into the dryer hopefully they are will I come home for a nap I should know but I want to finish the second BC Vlog part two we’re almost there on that day we had a little bit of a special supper because the ladies were busy in the garden all day we had ribs baked rice and a Greek salad it’s after supper I think it’s not even 7:30 but I am ready to go to bed and I think I will they removed the carrots the parsnips and the beets today so it was a busy day for them but it was also a busy day for us in the kitchen and then I made a bunch of mistakes and I just I feel I wanted to talk to you about it because it’s a reality I’m not trying to sugarcoat anything sometimes stuff happens that is not fun but um I’m just trying to be as realistic as I can but at this point this day has been such a flop that maybe I’ll tell you about it tomorrow because I sat down and started telling you and then I didn’t like the clip that I took because it was not perfect and the lighting was horrible and it was just one of those days where I felt like jumping on a moon I think I think I’ll leave the stories for tomorrow because my goodness but yeah see you tomorrow at breakfast we’re having a croissant sandwich going to be good we got one of those boxes from Costco the croissant are pre-made you just have to bake them so they’re in they’re currently in the fridge and then at 5: I’m going to go put them out of the fridge so that they so that they can rise so that I can bake them before breakfast but yeah that’s about all I have for today I’ll talk to you tomorrow hopefully it’ll be a better [Music] day for breakfast we have the croissant sandwich so we had a croissant cheese and then we mixed a little bit of bacon into the scrambled eggs man that was one good sandwich I am editing this video I’m doing this voice over and looking at the footage and wishing I could have one right now that’s how good it was although I think by my Expressions alone it’s very good can you tell that this day has been a little bit long anyways that day for lunch we had dumplings and chickens but I guess I was only in the mood for a dumpling you know I’m actually kind of disappointed that I missed um the work the garden work yesterday it’s a very big job but it’s it’s just it’s one of my favorites it’s also one of my favorite jobs because it goes with fall our girls spent what 10 days we were together all day every day on our BC and Alberta trip and um I don’t know I just misspending time with him it’s a very busy week I mean I’m cooking so I’m free from all that work my my work is in the kitchen anyways we got a rip um it’s past 4 already for supper we had fried fish a potato salad and um I think that’s a zucchini casserole if I’m right yeah I think it is the type of trees we have they they change color fast but they also lose their leaves fast but anyways about yesterday about my fails so we wanted to have pumpkin bread for breakfast we have had it before multiple times no problem it was perfect it was good there was nothing wrong with it but yesterday it wasn’t ready at breakfast the pumpkin loaf wasn’t ready so we ended up having eggs toast tomatoes for breakfast then we also had some canned pears and that was breakfast and it’s it wasn’t a great loss because the ladies removed the parsnips the carrots and the beets yesterday so we sent the loaf to the garden for a coffee break but it’s it’s still it was like it was supposed to be for breakfast and I feel like I feel like I let people down even though I know I I really didn’t they still did enjoy it and it was so good but that was fail number one fail number two 4 days ago I started making gluten-free croissant I knew on Wednesday today we were going to have the croisant sandwich and I also wanted to make gluten-free croissant well everything went great they were they were Rising nicely they were big and beautiful but when it came to baking them well things didn’t go so good and um they didn’t turn out in the end they flopped basically and in the end we made um the gluten- freeza sandwich with a gluten-free bun and then fail number three number three I was making a pumpkin spice latte and my pump spice latte is you make a syrup and then in a separate pot you add your coffee and your milk and then you add your syrup well I cooked my syrup and I made a lot of syrup because I planned on having it a couple more days this week guess what I did I accidentally poured my milk into my syrup I poured my coffee into my milk and syrup mixture and then I diluted that mixture with a bit more coffee and you know what it worked it was very good I was able to dilute it where the coffee and milk and syrup amount was perfect but now I got a lot more latte in the fridge in the kitchen to clean up topped with whipped cream I didn’t sweeten the whipped cream and oh my goodness it was actually very good but it was just another fail to add to my list and one more thing fall cleaning is a big job in our houses in our in the kitchens and it was supposed to be next week but something came up and now we’re doing it this week and we had to reshuffle our menu they’re in the kitchen cleaning you’re in the kitchen cooking you have to work together and I will try my best to film as much as I can to kind of show it oh so that happened and one more thing if you ever spill your fryer oil just put salt on it and it’ll absorb it and you’ll be able to clean it up a lot better A lot quicker it’s it’s just easier it’s a it’s a game Cher anyways I’m just going to sit here with Kona enjoy my apple chips and try to relax a little bit because it has been hectic and and it’s not done we’re not done yet so I’ll see you tomorrow kaona we’ll see you tomorrow for breakfast we had bacon eggs and the Pumpkin sourdough bagels with whipped cinnamon butter that was good e this Thursday for lunch we didn’t quite have the Thursday special that the hutter rides have every Thursday we had the fries and the vegetables but instead of chickens we had [Music] brisket [Music] [Music] it’s your way [Music] the girls are currently cleaning the coolers and doing other odds and ends cleaning grates front entrances but I’m cooking so I don’t have to and yeah but I still have to look after my rags it’s after [Music] lunch if you make only one recipe from this Vlog Let It Be tomato pie well unless you don’t like tomatoes or cheese or bacon then you might not want to but still I would recommend it because it’s very good it’s my favorite for supper we had meatloaf mashed potatoes and the famous tomato pie actually I don’t know if it’s famous it’s famous for me but yeah it’s very good you want to know our secret when it comes to making the tomato pie the recipe calls for for cheese we don’t just add any cheese we only add smoked GAA it fits perfect and it makes it I feel like 100 times better it’s just so good recipe will be in the description box down below [Music] yep for 50 on the floors to get rid of old WX so that we can put on new wax see you later okay it’s 10 after 10 and some of you might be confused but hi honey punch normally at 10: after 10: we’re generally in the kitchen preparing for lunch getting stuff ready for supper but today like right now they are fall cleaning the kitchen they are finished the adult’s dining room they’re almost finished the bakery and the children’s dining room and then there are also ladies at um cleaning appliances because there’s a lot of cleaning happening in the cooking area everybody is there cleaning but because I am cooking I don’t have to clean but I am still in charge of getting food on the table so am Maris and I made the sandwiches my grandma helped us and then we’re also having a soup but we don’t have to make that until later and then we’re also having family supper today because the kitchen is clean so we don’t use it for for supper either so I don’t have anything to prep for supper breakfast is already we already prepped for breakfast we’re having pancakes and now that we’re caught up we went home for a little bit of break we’re going to go back at 11:00 and make the soup make everything get everything ready for the ladies to take home that’s what we currently at I’m on a break for a 3/4 hour and it’s weird the stuff that I explained um while I was sitting at the river it just had me it just threw me for a little bit of a loop but right now I’m actually okay if I had worked to do in the kitchen I would be there just because everybody is there and it’s hectic is that weird I think it is it is a lively atmosphere everybody’s working it’s I actually love it I actually do like it as big as a job as fall cleaning the kitchen is I like it because it’s just it’s Lively it’s a lively atmosphere this is me just enjoying my soup and sandwich after that I headed over to the kitchen to make sure that everything that I used is clean and out of the way so that it does not bother the ladies when they want to finish cleaning while cleaning the kitchen is a big job I think it’s only fair that I clean up after myself even if I did make the food for them after lunch they only had the floors left to go so that is what they are doing um the way we clean our floors is we grab our mop and our bucket at formula 50 and water of course and just wet the floor like really soak the floor let it sit for 10 minutes then the girls scrub it with a brush then the formula 50 water gets scraped away and discarded because at that point it’s already gross and then the ladies go in again on their hands and knees with their buckets and rags and give the floor another wash and that type of cleaning only happens at fall and spring cleaning the kitchen back again [Music] want to get yeah that was oh do [Music] this yay Saturday breakfast on our colony is pancakes always always pancakes another job that belongs to the cooks is the honey in the adult’s dining room we have to make sure they are clean and filled if [Music] [Music] needed they took our table apparently it needed F so now we’re stuck eating where chicken a cold SLO salad with mushrooms um pickles and left over rice we also have potatoes but I’d take the rice over potatoes any day and yes the rice is cold I also like it cold over hot [Music] [Laughter] it you know [Music] Florida I want to show you something so whenever we need somebody to barbecue one of the guys does it guess it’s going to die [Music] Timothy bye where am I supposed to put my [Music] PL egg for supper we had barbecued porkloin um hard-boiled eggs fries and a salad with chicken celery Peppers Mayo salt and pepper and mix it all together and it’s the perfect salad to have with fries highly recommend trying it just add everything to your [Music] [Music] liking I know I say this in almost every cook week but I know there’s always new people that do not know this but we don’t serve breakfast on Sunday in the kitchen we we don’t have breakfast we have it at home and today I was having some leftover pumpkin sourdough bagel from earlier this week for lunch we just had soup and a salad a salad with all kinds of vegetables Tomatoes ham Peppers broccoli cauliflower chickpeas whatever you can think of we probably had for supper we had a chicken bacon ranch sandwich with leftover fries fries and a broccoli Delight salad I believe it’s called it’s broccoli bacon Peppers sunflower seeds and a creamy dressing it was actually quite tasty and it was very fitting for Sunday evening whether I eat with gloves on or without I always wash my hands after I’m done eating I know there were people wondering [Music] the last task to end up this cook week is the so let’s get it [Music] done of your peace where there is Let Your You a wonderful person and show a beautiful view & way of life into the Hutterite way of life,and may i say what a total joy it is,although i see just how hard things are at times when harvest has to be done,yearly deep cleans and the dedication you all put in for each other.you really are truly wonderful people and i sincerely hope the elders of the colony who understandably dont see the need for insights into people's varied life's and way of living but you have and do give a cherished & valuable insight and you really should be highly thought of for doing so.
Many people across the world are closed off from learning about other people's religion & way if life for reasons that they themselves cant explain and usually down to old line of old wifes tales passed along in families.. its important that people open themselves to other ways of life and how wonderful ppl are even if they live a different lifestyle to there own.

Oh my goodness Giselle! I have flops in my kitchen almost weekly, it happens to all of us! I remember one time this past summer, I was trying to make myself homemade gluten free bread, but it turned out tasting old and was very cracker like. 🤦♀️ The same thing happened to my pumpkin chocolate chip bread too! It was way too gooey, I guess I used too much pumpkin and not enough flour. 🤷🏻♀️ Gluten free baking has definitely been a learning curve, but I still love to bake and cook regardless! I love your vlogs, and am always praying from BC 🇨🇦!

I just mysteriously came upon your chanel and found this such a joy ! Gluten free is very difficult but can be mastered with mathematics and science ' I've been learning combinations of using coconut flour and rice starch as my binder in my papaya mango muffins and they finally came out terrific after 2 weeks of flops 😂 . When my mom and dad had their store we used to keep a small sack of wood shavings in case the oil spilled cuz you could just throw the wood shavings on them does the same thing as salt 😊
