[Music] hi everybody welcome back to nutrition with Jen today we’re going to make a fabulous recipe that you can use over any type of salad it’ll be a really nice Citrus dressing because if you remember from some of our past videos Citrus and vitamin C are really good for reducing oxidative damage which is what causes Alzheimer’s and brain problems and memory problems so we want to work on that so today we’re going to make a really yummy Citrus dressing what you need is 3/4 of a cup of organic olive oil we’re going to add that to a mason jar or any type of glass jar that you have that you can add a lid to so we’re going to be shaking it up then we’re going to do 1/4 of a cup of any type of vinegar you want today I’m using white wine vinegar gives it a little bit of a sweet taste but it’s also really good for blood sugar stabilizing because it’s going to keep your blood sugar completely locked down now we have three 3 tblspoon of organic lemon juice you could make it fresh if you wanted but that takes so much time so we’re just going to buy the organic stuff in the can add 3 tablespoon to our mason jar just like that and then we’re going to do 2 tablespoons of organic fresh squeezed orange juice again you could squeeze it yourself but that takes time and who has time when they want to eat a really yummy salad so we’re going to do three of [Music] these add that right there and then lemon zest lemon zest is going to give it a little bit of a kick so we’re going to do a/4 teaspoon of lemon zest so two of these for me now if you want a zest at home I assume that’s going to be the best modality for you so what I did is a cheese grater on a plate with a lemon choose one of the smaller sides and grade away it’s really easy you probably only need to use about a quarter of the lemon so you won’t waste any of the lemon then we’re going to do just a pinch of salt I like using Celtic Sea salt that way you actually are getting nutrients in there as opposed to a lot of sodium and then just a little bit of pepper never nobody ever needs too much pepper so add that to your dressing then best part going to shake it up oh smells so good and then add it to your greens remember we’re going for vitamin C here so although you have a lot of vitamin C in your dressing we could also make our salad with a lot of vitamin C so we’ve got spinach we can do arugula we have broccoli you can add apples oranges sweet potatoes limes anything you want dress up your salad add a little bit there looks pretty good to me I hope you guys will try it and I will see you back here really [Music] soon
