I found what appears to be a great deal on a used Silverbac. Owner says it’s about 1 yr old. According to the seller, the only issue is that the probe needs to be replaced.
This will be my first pellet grill. What should I look out for when checking the condition?
Will the lack of a working probe keep me from checking whether the PID is functional?
I understand that there were some upgrades to this model a year or 2 ago. I believe they upgraded to stainless steel grates (?). Owner wasn’t sure whether this is the newer version or not, and it’s used (and in need of a good cleaning), so difficult to verify it’s stainless from photos. Are there any other features that were part of the most recent upgrade that’ll confirm whether it’s the latest version?
