I wanted to pass this along in case it could help someone else out.

I was offered the grilled cheese and creamy tomato soup combo at a pretty steep discount. I don’t like plain tomato soup, but I determined I’d figure something out, since the price was already less than the basic price of grilled cheese, and I’ve been happen with them. I had been previously offered chopped chicken breast at a discount earlier and it was already in my freezer. (I prefer to not to refreeze the meat and chicken but had done so in the past. When the chicken was “on sale”, I figured having one waiting in the freezer would come in handy)

I found this recipe from Campbells-

https://www.campbells.com/recipes/shortcut-butter-chicken/

I replaced the soup, water, and coconut cream with the tomato soup. I replaced the chicken with the chopped chicken breast and half a cooked onion (I usually keep a few onions on hand in my fridge) seasoned and sautéed.

I replaced the rice with the sourdough bread, toasted and buttered with the garlic compound butter. I used the spices they said from my spice rack, but increased them- probably closer to two tablespoons for the curry, doubled the onion powder and ginger and added toasted paprika and some chile powder.

I have an herb garden and replaced the cilantro with parsley. I think you could skip this step, but it was nice.

If you have some spices and chicken/onion like me, all you need to buy is the cauliflower.

Note that I kept the lid off so that the soup would reduce and turn into a gravy. I don’t think it’s four servings of “butter chicken” but I think it’s a large two and possibly three, and you end up with a package of cheese left over.

If that special were offered up at discount? I would ABSOLUTELY make this again. On the other hand, “at list price”, having to pick up a cauliflower from the store? Not sure it’s worth it.

I like grilled cheese and dunking into tomato soap is good, however, never ever would I pick this meal from HF. It was discounted? It wasn’t a standard cost meal?
