I’ve never used a bbq in my life. Embarrassing I know. We moved into our new home which has this Napoleon Prestige 665. Yesterday I took everything out to clean it. It still looks fairly dirty inside, does it look useable? And the drip tray was a hassle to slide in and out. Any tips for how to use this bbq?

Looks mint! Fire it up on high for 10-15 mins and burn off any leftover deposits. Cook up some burgers!

It’s clean but the grill can use some seasoning. Wipe it down with a neutral oil, get it hot, let it cool, repeat.

Looks great to me. I agree that you just need to fire it up on high a bit to burn off anything potentially left in there. (but it does look pretty clean in the photos you posted). Enjoy grilling! It’s very simple and fun to get into

Looks good to go! It wouldn’t hurt to fire it up and burn off anything stuck on their before using it though.

I have the same grill. It appears your drip tray was not put back properly. There are angled sliders that you need to line up with the ones on your tray.

Thanks so much everyone! I really appreciate the non judgemental help! I’m excited to start using it.

  9. Those knobs should illuminate, check that the power is plugged in and on.
