I’ve never been super happy with the spicy pickles I’ve been able to get from the grocery store. They’re either sweet pickles, chips, or have a ton of sugar in them.
In the past I’ve bought a large jar of spears and threw in fresh ghost and reaper pods, and let them sit for a week or two. Was solid and the brine was tasty.
So – I bought a 64 oz container of dill pickle spears & instead of throwing a bunch of fresh peppers or powder into the container – I just sprinkled some flakes right on the spears. Quick n Tasty.
Just be mindful of your working/shaking space, in my opinion these super hot pepper flakes are on the fine side even without a grinder and not ideal if you get them on your fingers and rub your eyes, pet your cat, etc.
