This Fried Catfish is so doggone good people are gonna be inviting themselves over for a fish fry every weekend!!!

4 Catfish Fillets
2 cups Corn Meal
2 cups All Purpose Flour
2 tbsp Yellow Mustard
2 Eggs, beaten
2 tbsp Creole Seasoning (Creole Kick)
1/2 cup Hot Sauce (Franks Red Hot Sauce)
1 tbsp Paprika
1 tbsp Black Pepper
1 tbsp Garlic Powder
1 tbsp Onion Powder
1 tsp Cayenne Pepper (optional)

I just came from church and you know what I have I have you ever had a taste for something like the whole week I’m blaming it on church but the whole week I have been wanting some fried catfish and you know what I always when I go to the fish places I always hope that they have fried okra so I’m going to make southern fried catfish and some fried okra Bop fresh okra not frozen so what we’re going to do is I am going to season my fish first but then I’mma I’m going to have a wet and a dry uh batter and all that for the fish so let me show you everything that I’m using we got some flour we got two cups of flour two cups of cornmeal we’ve got like a cup of hot sauce um we got some mustard yellow mustard couple of eggs we got some cayenne Lord Jesus Creole seasoning and some what do we got paprika or something I I don’t know it’ll be in the description don’t worry about it so anyway I’m going to start off by seasoning the fish first I’m going to season look at these wonderful fillets catfish filet now of course you can use whatever you want to use you know some people some of y’all like perch don’t don’t do no don’t do you know tilapia almost choked when I said that y’all be y’all be swearing by some old nasty tilapia what is it somebody made it up y’all like saying the name what’ you eat for dinner tilapia like it’s Rich it’s not it’s not it’s not so we going to do that I’m going to season both sides you know I’m going to put this on some good old white bread I don’t I don’t I don’t do white bread like that but this time I will oldfashioned Church fish sandwich that’s that’s what we doing now we just putting a little bit of garlic powder on it just a little bit just a little Dash hit it bop bop bop hit that fish real quick B we going to do this pepper all right little cracked Peppa and just and now we just going to Pat Pat it on in all right just a regular yellow mustard y’all be trying to get fancy and do Dijon and gray Pon we we don’t have to do that take our hot sauce all right and we going to put our our eggs in there EGS in there we’re going to dip it in this now it’s time to assemble our dry mixture so we got that flour we got I love a good cornmeal I love a good cornmeal I like the I like the the breading of it let me tell you something I do not like I do not like beer battered anything I don’t like beer battered um onion rings I like it to have this like either the panko breading or this cornmeal breading all right so this is the this is the Creole seasoning um I got some paprika Creole seasoning and I got some cayenne pepper is that what I have Jesus yes I got some cayenne pepper you know I got to write WR stuff down and just give it a little mix now we’re going to take our catfish dip it in our concoction yes get all that good God bless your flavor in there oh yes lather it on up and now we’re going to take our seasoned flour and cornmeal mixture we just are you live fish you just frolicking you’re just having a good old time frolicking in in the cornmeal and flour I feel I feel like a church mother right now cuz I already know this going to be good the Holy Ghost done told me that everything is going to be all right I want every crevice to be covered baby we’ve been sneezing with this Creole seasoning and this cayenne pepper and then I’m just I’m going to let it sit let’s let this [Music] rest we are taking our catfish filets I I am frying my catfish that beautiful catfish at 375° for about 5 minutes I wanted some fried okra so I’m I fried my okra prior to Frying my fish because that is my favorite side with fried fish I just want you to see how golden brown that is I just need you to see how crunchy and golden brown that fish is honey that fish did not die in vain I did this fish okay I did this fish good what is my living no it’s not in vain get that grease popping I want you to I want them to see the grease popping get that grease popping y’all let’s take our fish that beautiful beautiful piece of fish oh I’mma to take a little hot sauce I got to do what I got to do I got to do what I have do do got to do it got to do it and then we just goila we got a little okra as a side dish now if you want to know how to make this okra that is a separate video and I got you on that that’s it baby that come on now come on quit playing with me quit quit all right guys it’s time to taste you can hear a crunch you can hear the crunch mhm you can hear the crunch y’all this this fish right here is perfect it is so perfect because these were very thick filets I fried them for 5 minutes because it’s in the Deep FR I didn’t have to turn them over listen this is better than anybody FR fry your own fish with this recipe I need you to like comment share subscribe turn your notifications on this is another bomb recipe best dog on catfish in the world this a Holy Ghost I got to get some of that bread see you next time
