If you’ve been a mom for any length of time, you know your kids can be hard to feed sometimes. With processed foods, not so much. One likes this and the other one likes that.

We all know how picky they can be with their food. After working hard in the kitchen, they won’t touch it.

I’m working on 3 kid-friendly recipes to hopefully delight most of the family. Get the step-by-step instructions for this meatloaf recipe as well as 2 more recipes HERE:

[Music] hey there welcome it’s Tessa was strangis Family Farm I am here with a new recipe I wanted to share with you this is one of three recipes I’m going to be doing um for a new blog post these are going to be kid-friendly recipes that will Delight the whole family um and this what I’m working on now is a meatloaf classic meatloaf with ground beef and ground pork so I know at least my husband and our two sons will like it my daughter maybe not so much but it’s definitely worth trying um this recipe because most of them like it and I have two other recipes that my enjoys too so don’t worry she she’s going to have um something for her as well so I’m going to do one video for this recipe in particular meatloaf classic meatloaf with ground beef and ground pork so let’s get started so I have here a pound of ground pork and a pound of our ground beef so both of these are from our farm and then two of our farm fresh eggs in this bowl I’m going to add some garlic powder salt and pepper I have I actually have sea salt and then I’m going to add some a half2 cup of ketchup and this will be all the step-by-step instructions will be on the blog post if you want to try this out I’ve got Dijon mustard and Weser sauce I know I boted that again [Applause] half a cup of milk and a little twist on this meatloaf recipe instead of breadcrumbs I’m using Ritz crackers I’ve got a half um whole cup one cup of Ritz crackers crumbled up and I’m going to add instead of breadcrumbs so that’s a little fun little twist for the kids this recipe can also call for like a a third cup of onions I am going to skip that part just because my kids don’t like onions so you can add that or you can leave it out whichever you prefer now I’m going to go ahead and mix this up with my hands so I am mixing this up and then once I get this all mixed up I’m going to add it to a loaf pan a greased loaf pan or you can use parchment parchment paper tin foil or just grease so I’m going to finish uh getting this all mixed together and then I’ll add it to the loaf pan all right I have mixture in the meatloaf mixture in the loaf pan and if you want to smooth it out a little bit more you can use a spatula to do that then once I get done with this I am going to pop it in the oven for 45 minutes at 350° Fahrenheit for 45 minutes I’m going to while that’s cooking or baking I am going to make a glaze for this so we’re going to make a glaze to put it on top um after it’s been baking for 45 minutes so I’ll be right back to do the glaze okay let’s go ahead and get started with the glaze for the meatloaf the meatloaf is in the oven baking away we have some white vinegar some brown sugar with some salt and pepper garlic powder and onion powder and then finally again we have some ketchup and a little bit of mustard in [Music] this so we’re going to stir that up smells good this is going to be delicious on the meatloaf and you can also use it for the side as well for dipping sauce for the meatloaf okay so that is done one once give you a look at that so good smells so good once that once the Meatloaf’s done I’m going to well once once it’s been 45 minutes I’m going to take the meatloaf out out add some glaze to it put it pop it back into the oven and bake for another 15 to 20 minutes until it’s 160 so I’ll be back with the meatloaf I just took the meatloaf out of the oven now I’m going to add the glaze that we just made up get that all over this meatloaf and then once I get that done I’m going to put pop it back in the oven for about 15 to 20 minutes or until it’s about 160 degrees Fahrenheit so whichever comes sooner so might not even take that long we’ll see and then I’m going to save the rest of this glaze for the dipping sauce so it looks really good and I’m looking forward to having this so I’m going to finish glazing this and I’ll be right back all right it’s done it was in the oven uh for a total of about 55 minutes so not as long as I anticipated it didn’t take that long about 10 minutes more to cook this up further to 160 degrees Fahrenheit so there you go classic ground beef and pork meatloaf I have kids uh waiting to get in the kitchen to eat this up it smells so good and I have a dipping sauce with it too and underneath it I made a homemade creamy red potatoes mashed potatoes with parmesan and garlic so I have that uh on the blog post as well if you’d like to make that up with the meatloaf um I’ll link the in the description um the recipe for this meatloaf and garlic mashed potatoes along with two other kid-friendly recipes to Delight the whole family so check it out head on over there I appreciate you being here thank you so much and I will talk with you soon bye
