I made some local friends who took me to a ‘pedas’ restaurant, which translates to ‘spicy restaurant’ in English. Locals go there to eat extremely hot food. The waiting time for a table was about an hour.
Pictured is beef lung, tempeh salad, sambal, and a little slice of tofu. It was the hottest meal of my life. This was in Malang, East Java, Indonesia.
