Tomatoes actually are pretty resilient plants. You could put these up and transplant them moderately easily

Yep, tomatoes are resilient and will grow /sprout anywhere. My local waste treatment plant has them even growing out of dehydrate human waste / compost. You just sometimes do not digest them fully.

I currently have tomato seedlings growing in my compost pile from very immature green tomatoes I threw in there at the end of the season last year. At least 100 of them.
