Like…just why? So disgusting.
EDIT: Lmao. Okay guys, bring a cicada dish to your next social gathering and tell me how many people agree how normal and not-disgusting it is.

What do you mean by disgusting?
did you try it? what’s disgusting about it?
edit: since you wanted to add additional snark, I’ll add some too: – bugs are part of diets for many cultures around the world, including in southern USA (where I grew up), where they eat cicadas pretty regularly during the season when they are abundant. You outright claiming its disgusting just because its not something you’re familiar with, especially if you’ve never tried it, is ignorant and kinda makes you look silly.
People eat insects all over the world, it’s perfectly normal.

Wtf goin on in here lol
I ordered a grasshopper taco about a month ago. It was a tad too salty but otherwise really good.
I mean, is eating bugs somehow more disgusting than cutting flesh from a larger animal and eating it? I would argue not. I think both are delicious. I just had this discussion with a group of people who don’t eat tacos de lengua.
I like how the OP gets all defensive that people reacted poorly to their food gatekeeping. In a food sub. And then tries to make a joke about it, assuming everyone would be as childishly squeamish as they are. We’re all gonna be eating bugs at some point; OP might as well get used to it.
Hmm this is skirting R3 (respect / constructive one)
I mean do you eat shrimp?
Shrimps is bugs
Grow up and pull your head out of your ass.
Early settlers in the US thought the same about lobster. People got over it.
