Got the drip irrigation setup on the peppers today so now these peppers and my raised bed are fully automated. Timer is setup to run each hose for 30 minutes at 6am and 6:30am every other day. Should make this a little easier coming into the hot months here in Tx. Will monitor plants and adjust accordingly

Really nice! What the GPH on the dripper you’re using?

Let me know after a few weeks if it’s any less “fun” with the automation.

I get a lot of joy out of tending to my plants and always worry that if I automate watering, that’s one less thing to “do” with them. I could be worried about nothing though.

I’ve had a similar setup for the last several years, but I found the different pots and plants always had slightly different watering needs and some ended up over watered and some drying up in the heat. I am switching to Blumat this year to see if I can actually maintain consistent moisture on a plant by plant basis. Fingers crossed!
