Cook For Your Wife Chicken Shrimp broccoli Alfredo. yum
[Music] hello everybody welcome to another episode of cook better wife brother here what are we doing today well we had some family members on one of the videos left a few comments that they thought it’d be nice to have Alfredo well as soon as Pam heard that it was on is that’s one of her favorite meals so we are going to do chicken shrimp broccoli alfredo I’m gonna do a different alfredo sauce than I normally do from scratch it’s one that I found that I think I might like a little bit better instead of the egg yolks it’s doing cream cheese instead so we’re gonna give that a try then I’m gonna add some mushrooms for a little different flavor so I’m basically going to be doing a mushroom alfredo sauce and with all this goodness so right now I got my nice pan here and I got some garlic and butter I got a big pot of water on over here for the fettuccine noodles the down I’m gonna cook al dente and I will break those in half because I don’t like my fettuccine noodles as long as I am so we’ve got a big bowl of chicken already cut up here and we’re gonna start cooking that in our skillet we’re gonna get that cook in and set that to the side and then get the movies done and so that’s the slide and then we’ll start doing the rest and I’ll show you how everything comes together so as usual just relax drink some coffee and before you know if this chicken will be done thanks welcome back to everybody now it looks different from the last time you just seen it we got mushrooms sautéing and our skillet and they’re nice and caramelize the way that I like them to make the alfredo sauce and then I’m gently heating up some precooked shrimp that’s been deveined and details right here and just heat them up with some butter now I got the noodles done right here and I sped it chain noodles and we got our chicken right there now next thing we’re gonna do there’s a broccoli a little secret if you guys don’t know you take the broccoli pick the florets cut them all up put them in a plastic bag heat them in the microwave for two to three minutes if you’re using small bags you can do it for a minute at a time if you’re doing them by portion you can put them in sandwich baggies you can put the Ziploc baggies or you can do a biga ziplock baggie like this and put them all in there it’s probably gonna take about three minutes and it will steam it perfectly so why we’re getting ready to make this off rental stock I’m gonna throw this in the microwave for three minutes and then I’ll show you what it looks like all right now for the alfredo sauce nut the mushrooms now we’re going to stick in one cup of butter we’re going to stick in one type of heavy cream and don’t worry if you guys don’t have to remember this this recipe when I post it on YouTube you will have the recipe in the description it’s four ounces of cream cheese then I can get it open I probably had enough coffee can’t see straight well I guess we’re just up to annihilate it okay four ounces of cream cheese about half of this give or take okay and then we’re gonna bring this up and let it start everything melting I’m gonna leave in the other half of cream cheese out just in case it doesn’t thicken the way that I want it can wipe out my little miss here since I decided to fling cream everywhere turn out up a little bit now we’re gonna get this to all melt together trap heating up this up a little bit more yes I’m getting impatient okay ask for the broccoli as you can see steamy ha perfect yum-yum we’ll just close that back to keep it warm okay now we’re coming up to temp there we go my little whip out you got to love these pampered chef fans love it Teflon coated but yet I can put my metal whip in it can’t beat that of course I’m still a little nervous I’m not gonna sit there and start grinding on it just to see why I’m doing it lightly I guess this all gets melted then we’re gonna add in our fresh Parmesan cheese 1 cup then we’re gonna put in a quarter teaspoon of salt quarter teaspoon of pepper we’re gonna put in 1 teaspoon of garlic 1 teaspoon of garlic powder and 1 teaspoon of thyme seasoning and we’re gonna let this simmer until it thickens up the way that it needs to be and then we’ll be out ready to plate which i think is the most important thing besides believe up okay as you can see the butter the heavy cream and the cream cheese is all incorporated perforate it really nicely now I have this fresh Parmesan cheese right here that I bought so I just added all the rest into the top of it the garlic and the pepper and the salt so we’re just gonna put that all in there by the way I could save some dirty dishes we’re gonna turn this down a little bit you gonna let this simmer for 2 to 3 minutes until it thickens up the way that you want to and then you’ll start coating our noodles in it and start putting it off plate yeah doesn’t that look good smells wonderful I might not have to give any of this to my wife I’m gonna just tell her it tastes like crap what do you guys think should I feed her now as you’re mixing this you’re gonna see it’ll start incorporating a lot better and trying to get a nice and smooth nice and smooth and creamy now I do this a little bit different the next part is because I will talk that way by an Italian pimp on how to do this sauces so that’s what I’m going to attempt to do next as I drop my towel for the hardest time onto the floor this chef does not want to stay put today or my belly just likes it okay I need to get my other skill it out hang tight guys we’re almost there I decided what the heck let’s dirty up every pan in the house why not so I’m gonna pull a little popover out here a little silicone pot holder I’m gonna put the strip on right there we’re going to move our alfredo sauce oh yeah okay an hour there yom-yom you guys seeing that this is an operator soft people so the cream cheese basically takes the place of the egg yolks that’s how I was taught to make it as well egg yolks so that’s what it looks like it’s happening here and it just looks wonderful okay so let’s move that over let’s get our next pan ready oh I need some place don’t I do okay here we go now we’re gonna put some noodles in the pan just a little bit noodles purser this is per serving a little bit of noodles in the pan and then we’re gonna get a spoon and see and we’re gonna ladle some sauce in here like so and then we’re gonna put some shrimp in it I mean some chicken don’t check them in they’re still nice and long chicken sorry yeah dummy Mme let’s see you get some scripts in here yeah yeah start heating this up real good what I’m doing it did my flavors to blend together we’re basically sauteing well basically sauteing the spaghetti the fettuccine now we’re going to put our fresh steamed broccoli in there like so you hear that eaten up all right now we’re going to get it on some plate like so out there for a minute always wipe around your plates sauce on the top oh yes most
