hi everyone and welcome to fresh looks and cooks this is our fourth episode and we’ll be making roasted Brussels sprouts with brown sugar and bacon yes I said brown sugar and bacon this is not your mom’s typical recipe this is not those steamed or boiled tasteless Brussels sprouts you remember as a kid you will not be tucking these in your napkin feeding them to the dog is a no-no and you definitely won’t be chucking them across the room when your mom’s not looking now I love this recipe because it’s super simple everything goes into a bowl just transfer it onto a roasting pan and the oven does the rest now something you might notice is that our bacon is chopped a little thick or chopped a little large I would recommend chopping your bacon a little smaller just so everything is a bit more uniform and you can get a little bit of each ingredient in each bite another thing that I would note is the brown sugar because this is going to roast in the oven at 400 degrees for 20-25 minutes you want to be careful of your brown sugar and not to burn it now with most of our recipes you can add a little bit of something or take something out and it’ll still be really good so just be mindful of the brown sugar if you want to take it out completely you have a nice little low-carb Brussels sprout dish and then if you want to take the bacon out you can have something a little more vegetarian but yeah this is it this is the final product so guys I just want to say thank you for watching and we’ll see you next week
