Best imperial roll I ever had was at Tu Lan in San Francisco (pictured). Looking to scratch that itch here in LA. Looking at previous posts, Phorage in Palms looks promising. Any where else I can check out? I live in the west side, but am willing to drive 45minutes

I am here hoping for suggestions as well, as I also crave imperial rolls similar to Tu Lan.

Not sure of that area but in SGV, Golden Deli has good egg rolls.

Lotus and Light used to have delicious imperial rolls and then they got bought by somebody else or something cause they removed a lot of stuff off the menu and got rid of the imperial rolls. Which was a major bummer.

That said, I’ve never been able to find imperial rolls as good as theirs. And trust me, I’ve been looking.

Khuu Bistro in Reseda has imperial rolls and they’re good, but they’re short thicc bois and kinda greasy. (They have good grilled pork too)

Phorage has them and they’re good but they skimp on the herbs and things.

Saigon Flavor in San Gabriel has good ones. Their banh beo leaves something to be desired tho.

And that’s all I got for you off the top of my head.

Sorry the only answer here is Golden Delight in Rosemead. Top notch.

Phorage in Palms does have great imperial rolls. It’s the only place you can get them on the west side…or at least I haven’t been able to find anyone else that does them.

It’s also not a pork kabob — not cooked on a skewer. It’s typically just grilled.
