and also a teas at ziki a teas at ziki okay that’s not how you pronounce it but that’s how we like to pronounce it’s basically pronounced how to say and we’re also aware that it’s not pronounced I It’s Finally Friday yes guys this was one of these weeks that I felt felt longer than normal who’s with me oh I did too it felt it felt quite long okay so the first thing I’m going to do I’ve got quite a bit of chopping because I’m going to do our Greek salad and the Tet ziki is I’m going to start on the T at ziki oh I like Wendy put up a phonetic pronunciation it’s t t z ke yes yes great job Wendy have you guys seen that video where that one guy’s pronouncing it TZ T zaky and went viral yeah I kind of like that it’s hilarious I guarantee he did that on purpose though okay so guys we are making lamb Costa so we’re starting off with our this is lean ground lamb okay I’ll show you guys over here what this looks like I don’t know if you’ve seen this in your um grocery store but this is the brand that we always like to get we I got this at um Food Basics hey shout out to Food Basics okay and um I love I love lamb I know some people have some strong feelings about lamb we have some strong love for lamb yeah when I could eat meat lamb was up there as one of my favorites it’s phenomenal actually Lamb on the grill produces a scent like NOA I don’t know why barbecue Mama did you not just have lamb chops yesterday I was actually just going to say that I grilled barbecue lamb loin chops last evening and it was delicious old Garden was smelling amazingly delectable it looked gorgeous um and it was bone in which if you can go lamb bone in bone in meat with a bone always voice is going to taste incredible and I don’t want to hear from anyone no evil Lama don’t look at me is evil llama in the house yes he we said hi to what is happening with youday I don’t know I didn’t I didn’t see him okay so to make our teas at ziki we’re starting off with some Greek yogurt plain obviously don’t get like a vanilla I that’s not going to be good guys um it’s not going to be good don’t get a fruit on the bottom if you’ve ever thought like well whatever like how much can like vanilla add to the flavor I know from personal experience don’t do it okay okay do not do it no and the thing is you could use regular yogurt but look at how thick Greek yogurt is like Greek yogurt is so great for this because you are going to thin it out um a little bit with the lemon juice and the Cucumber so you want to start off with having it pretty thick actually I’m just going to leave that in there and I’ll use that to stir this up okay I’m getting this out in the most odd weird way like what is happening that’s what happens when you um I can’t find the scissors in here but guys we’re I made it happen I’m going to go wash up and um we look like we’re about to dump the charcoal so we’re cooking with um not lump charcoal we’re cooking with briquettes today I’m in another briquette phase we went through a lump phase we still have lump here but I’m on briquettes hard I like them both but I I it’s hard to say which I prefer but yeah I like briquettes as well I’m not saying I prefer it but I just love them yeah um Wendy saying Greek yogurt is good for your gut health also great Point Wendy yes it absolutely is and is is saying I make my own vanilla extract yes so do I and then once you do you will never go back because it’s so easy and it’s definitely not like like everything you make home homemade once you make it homemade you realize how like I hate to say it but not good the store bought version is it’s not the same it’s homemade is always going to rock we got smoking Fire Barbecue in the house he’s saying what you making we’re making lamb cofa Key’s making a homemade saiki and are you you’re sted with a satii I’m start with there yeah and we’re doing a Greek salad we also have barbecue and beers that’s barbecue Dave he’s saying he prefers lump so guys when it comes to I don’t know why in the barbecue Community it always needs to be like this versus that what is the best they’re both great for both for different reasons yes lump is great when you’re doing your hot and fast kind of cooks and briquettes are great when you’re um when you smoke okay so when you if we’re using the kettle today and some people think you got to get these like Big Smoke all these different types of grills to smoke if you use brequet you can turn your um Weber kettle into a smoker yeah absolutely you can we we use the Weber kettle probably more than any other Grill I’d say that’s like our most of and I know HD feels the same way yeah it’s a great it’s a gr I feel like that’s like a Gateway Grill you get one of those and like you’re set for cuz that will last you a lifetime yes okay so I’m going to dump our charcoal here so I can get going on the kebabs okay so I’ve added in the zest of an entire lemon here and I’m just going to add this to our um yogurt mixture I was going to glove up but then I forgot so did that’s oh my God that literally is what I did realizing now I’m not going to so Tom’s food factory is eating lamb as of as we speak go Tom go last night that’s awesome so he’s having leftovers today yep okay so I’m adding in the zest and also the Juice I feel like if if you’re going to add in a lemon to anything thing there’s always more flavor in the zest so you may as well just add both so guys we have um our Grill cam set up here so I just want to show you guys how we’re configuring the grill okay so we’re putting we are obsessed with charcoal baskets okay they’re very inexpensive those actually came with this Grill and we’re we configure them so the hot spot is in the middle of the grill here okay so we’re going to get that preheating and we want be cooking hot today so that’s going to be preheating I’m getting going on our um our lamb CA howbert you will love this recipe he said he loves um skewers so you are going to really like this one okay but guys go with me on this okay I was going to I brought skewers today to um put these on but I was like I’m kind of like not if I if I just make like a long meatball that’s what a CA is why why am I going to put it on the skewer me and you hate anything that require we don’t like those toothpast Pi we don’t like skewers I have metal skewers here that I’m where I I don’t know where they are now but they’re here but cuz we’re metal we’re we’re into like metal skewers but I’m like I don’t even know if I’m going to do that let’s see barbecue says a nice cucumber salad goes really well with lamb you got that right we got who who said that great day barbecue Russell Hey Russ Russell how are are we on at all barbecue Canada I hope we are shout out to everybody over there guys I’m just adding in I just added in one of my favorite ingredients shout out to the garlic fans out there yep you got that and that’s going in there too don’t forget it needs it and I was like oh this is going to really wreck this okay now guys I love this recipe too cuz it’s extremely forgiving we’re going in with some cumin I’m an eyeball gal I like to eyeball everything that looks like the perfect amount I agree and I think that looks spectacular we’ve got Alexi saying hello from Ukraine how are you nice to see you hello uh oh I’m dripping juice over here so um right someone I think said Yeah Izzy eats hello Izzy they’re saying who uses mint on lamb now we actually do have some mint in here and mint dried mint I think is one of what you know how obviously they say fresh um herbs are best dried mint actually is one that I like dried yes mint translate to dried very very well yes it’s like it’s like oregano um I don’t think parsley translates too um dried parsley doesn’t cilantro doesn’t basil doesn’t oh cilantro doesn’t dried cilantro tastes like nothing yeah exactly I’m going to go in with a touch of cinnamon you can really o like overdo it with the cinnamon just a little touch okay so you could technically um drain this out if you wanted to but I don’t want to drain out the juice from this cucumber I want it right in here cuz we have that Greek yogurt we may as well just it’s going it’s thick enough as it is so that’s perfectly fine all right guys I’m going in with some um smoked paprika courtesy of barbecue Mama I’m just going to go drain this off cuz I’m getting really watery over here yeah I don’t know that oh that smells good that was a really watery cucumber why does cucumber like that smell like spa for some reason that smells incredible okay will plunk is saying he likes a mint jelly um that’s not one I don’t know we’ve never been a mint jelly fan you know what I don’t think I’ve ever had mint jelly yeah like we’ve never done that I know a lot of people do that with um l chops we’ never we’ve never done that I don’t I can’t even say I’ve ever tried it that’s cuz we’re more Savory I think that’s why yeah cuz mint jelly is like sweet it’s like this I will not stir it until the very end and I get great satisfaction out of that yeah I don’t no honey I know exactly why is that weird it’s like seeing everything it’s like seeing everything just like go in together yeah like I have to leave it like that until the very end and then I’ll stir it so we’re going to keep adding stff add more cornmeal to this guys I don’t know if I already said this but um we’re adding cornmeal this is like I think my favorite binder you love cornmeal I love cornmeal I love the flavor it adds a delicious just texture and um it’s also glutenfree so I know a lot of people are looking for gluten-free stuff out there and that just keeps it gluten- free and also it’s one of the best buys at the grocery store very inexpensive okay so I’m going to add in we could season this with salt and pepper but we always like to add a rub so I’m going to use the cluck and squeal Savory spicy just for can you throw some of that in here honey yes I will just just for a little bit of Kake I added salt but this is like this has garlic powder in there we already got garlic in there yes right thank you honey I’m going to add some of that in here too Fritz yeah okay so and then you just you look at cilantro the wrong way and it goes bad and then we forgot about it and then it did go bad just give me like a tiny tiny like just quickly just rip through that you could why do we have why do we have a mountain of herbs here pal uh I want them used in every too much no not too much too much we got Mark in the house saying hi ladies that’s clock and squeal we got newy King saying hi from Kitchener awesome with lamb you indicated that the jelly is sweet the store bought pack stuff is but if you make it from scratch then you can swap your sugar for home so bad and we were so tired and you you can’t even lay down you can’t stretch out your feet like we had found like a little quiet Corner in the airport and we were watching Titanic and eating snacks first and last time we’ll do a red eye who do that yeah remember we couple Redeye flights um I think Fritz Frank actually said this you actually you either love them or you hate them we despise them never for us ever again James is saying Kiki is still the Wild Child you got that right James you got that right she always will be Tom’s food factory say MADD and Kiki need to come close to Ohio it is chips need to be eaten every day in my opinion and see I was again yesterday just thinking like I could never have a chip again and be fine I’m not huge on chips I’ll eat them do I like them but when it comes to like my kryptonite like you know when people everybody has like their weakness when it comes to like snacks and stuff chips are not I I don’t not huge into chips I wouldn’t just like they’re all right but I don’t myr lives for chips I do I can admit it I totally do um HT saying I like pretzels better than chips I knew Wendy was a potato chip gal I knew HT likes pretzels and pretzels pretzels and peanut butter he likes putting it in there I remember that cuz that made me want it so bad too I love peanut butter me too oh my goodness okay now I’m serving yeah I eat peanut steaming boiling hot um coals you don’t want to walk away from them no okay no you you definitely don’t and guys okay so let’s bring the attention back to the grill just for one second even though sorry honey I don’t want to steal your thunder here that’s okay guys we are cooking right over the coals like I just said but did we ever stick did you see any stickage did we use any sort of stupid onion trick that I’m seeing going around on Tik Tok What who started that like people smearing an onion on a grill like or a potato I’m like I don’t know what that’s doing I don’t know what it’s doing and I’m not naming names I’ve seen some big people in the barbecue Community doing that and I’m like I that you should be ashamed of yourself it’s how you season a w it’s not how you season a grill barbecue pops okay barbecue pops thank you for sharing that but yeah not for grills I I’m not into it and that’s that doesn’t make it non-stick I think these people are trying to say it makes it non-stick I’m like no it doesn’t guys our number one barbecue tip that we’ve said like a gazillion times or we’re going to say it a gazillion more times the only way to ensure that stuff doesn’t stick to the grill is properly preheating your grill okay so look we didn’t we’re not worrying about that at all and if you do get some stickage like we’re having here okay we just relax put it down don’t touch it because we’ve all done this look if something sticking you want to like go start to go crazy start to like flip it then everything starts to like mush that’s not what you want to do you always want to stay in control when you’re grilling Don’t Panic we’ve all done it and it doesn’t end up well no okay so just let it lie and it will be it will tell you when it’s ready to be flipped peanut butter and apple together that’s not lame oid it’s pretty lame oid it’s not lame oid I far did you know that um pistachios are a complete protein cuz if you eat pistachios to other nuts yes weach really no wonder they’re more expensive yeah so if you eat a peanut butter sandwich wheat and um peanuts make a complete protein but um pistachios which does anybody not like pistachios like who doesn’t like pistachios they’re expensive the most fun or it’s the nut that is the most fun to enjoy cuz I I love um snapping the shells um I don’t love snapping um doing the sunflower seed barbecue pops is like the biggest fan of sunflower seeds like in the Shell like Snap eating them it’s to me that’s too muching them and taking them all down yeah me too honey me too I can’t it’s just extra fiber okay I don’t know how to separate them out and if I’m hungry that’s not the time to learn how to do that no it’s not that’s why I don’t even do the pistachios I buy the ones that are come in the bag that are out of the shell because if I need a snack I don’t want to be cracking through like a million of them um we’ve got spood Mama saying oh my God hey ladies it’s Nash oh hi Nash how are you those grapes I only do that when I have the end of an onion less Kathy if you’re going to do it for Aroma purposes I’m all for that yeah that’s one thing but if it’s for making a grill nonstick you’re wasting your time and you’re wasting an onion cuz that’s not going to happen you’re wasting an onion no and you know what else okay so SPO mama is saying there’s dough pickle flavored hummus that’s so good also a good snack and a snack that I really love hummus and crackers oh hey I thought yeah I’m surprised you didn’t say that but to me hummus is more of a meal I love eating hummus as a meal with different things on it can I say um what I’ve been enjoying as a breakfast please do share with the group thomus really I don’t know why but I’m going through a breakfast hummus face and if you’re like interesting mie is that some kind of like sweet version of a hummus no I’m talking about traditional garlicky hummus that’s how I like to start my day why not okay so I got a really get hustling here because um I have quite a bit left to do here I don’t know if the U okay we’re going to do a little bit of lettuce we’ll do a tiny bit of lettuce and get it in there because that’s what myy wants and that’s right honey you were lucky these are greasy um tongs I was going to pinch your tush you’re lucky I’m not doing that okay I don’t want I don’t I do not want lamb on my tush all right guys not washing this Iceberg I’m going to say always wash your vegge but Iceberg I think we all take a chance with Iceberg iceberg is on the fence you ever hear of a wedge salad how do you think they wash that they don’t exactly buddy good point that is actually a phenomenal Point Wendy saying have you made hummus with calini beans I actually prefer them over chickpeas Wendy I love that I think that’s canini yeah yeah what’s wrong with that that’s what they’re called calini yeah that’s not the way they’re spelled that do that’s what they are barbecue pops is giving me to they’re beans is what they’re called barbecue pots yes it is barbecue that’s isn’t that barbecue M’s favorite Bean that’s what I thought so my favorite my favorite Bean to make a hummus out of is um either your typical chickpea or butter beans butter beans make a fantastic hummus you were going on Butterbean crazy they they’re so good if you’ve never tried using um butter beans they come in a can too and um but they’re just as the name suggests they’re very creamy and buttery and um they make for a really fantastic hummus now do you want to finish this off do you want to finish this honey you literally it’s like you this is this is me I was like looking at that being like looking at the time being like someone needs to ditch the salad I’m like I’m on Cheers for the weekend please take this can I we’ve said it before we’re not twins we are sisters I can literally read her mind and she can read my mind so I knew that was happening I knew that was happening we got to get to cheers for the weekend to the weekend and we’ve got a delicious non-alcoholic smoothie that we’re making for barbecue M today we’re it’s rhubarb season I love rhubarb and I’ve just picked a bunch of rhubarb this morning so we’re making barbecue Mama a raw raspberry and rhubarb smoothie that has super Foods in it that we’re going to talk about oh heck yes okay so the first so we’ve got what he’s like we’re going to talk about it and you’re going to like whether you guys like it or not going to hear about it Kathy saying butter beans are good Kim requested some I bet they would be great in hummus yes Kathy or Kathy and Kim Kathy and Kim okay so here is our it’s like creamier butter beans butter beans it is great great choice so here’s our little um rhubarb raspberry compost that I have already made just to spare your ears because it’s quite loud when you make this in the blender okay honey I was going to say that’s a really that was a good move yeah so a lot of people think that rhubarb can only be eaten cooked it can’t you can eat it raw as well so you just can’t eat the leaves no matter what do not eat the leaves even if you cook them because they are poisonous but you don’t have to cook rhubarb itself so do I love a strawberry rhubarb pie as much as the next person yes I do but do I want to be eating that 24/7 no I don’t yeah agreed so we’re going to make a little smoothie so we’ve got some of the compost and all that this is is um fresh rhubarb fresh raspberries and a little bit of dates that’s it and and um blend it up into this beautiful color here so we’re GNA add that in okay this is like matching this is all going to go together because guys we’re working with some pickled turnip here um I think a lot of people might not think that sounds really good but pickle turnup is going to make this entire salad yes it is okay and it’s going to it’s pairing perfectly with the pinkness of the rhubarb Okay so we’ve got our rhubarb raspberry compost in there the next thing we’re going to add in is some coconut yogurt we we could also use Greek yogurt but I don’t have that I only have the coconut kind so we’re gonna add that in if you had a blender you could obviously add all of this to a blender but since everything’s Blended we don’t need to so for the purposes of this drink we’re just going to add it to the glass then mix it up all right guys quickly we got to shout out Uncle Steve here he’s saying could y’all and I’m this is how he’s saying it could y’all possibly pitch that I’ll be on pent Life podcast with Johnny Megs that’s my Texas so he’s going to be on this and a lot of people I think go wrong making smoothies at home because they don’t add in an orange do you guys remember Orange Julius I don’t know if Orange Julius is a thing still but when I work I think it is when I worked at the mall orange I could smell Orange Julius from absolutely every everywhere because it had that really strong orangee flavor cuz they would have fresh oranges that they would juice in there and it would give off such an aroma I don’t know why that smells incred maybe I also think they added like eight pounds of sugar to it that’s why we were all like obsessed with it but oranges don’t need it oranges are so sugary to begin with exactly so we’ve got our Orange in there now we’re going to add in some ivish sea moss gel oh you guys know how much I’m obsessed with this stuff we’ll SE Moss she’s coming at us again this contains almost all of the essential vitamins and minerals that your body needs so I put it in my smoothie every day you can buy it as a gel or you can buy the you can’t it doesn’t smell like anything cuz I good that means it doesn’t taste like anything so you can make it it’s cheaper to make it yourself and this it just looks like this it kind of looks has like a snotty texture oh that’s like that’s something that we want to be ingesting here you go barbecue mama I know I was just going to say not it up texture but you don’t need a t you don’t need a lot of it this is like about a tablespoon wow but you don’t it doesn’t taste like anything and it’s just very very good for you so we’ve got that then pause for a second guys last week this is um this ingredient here is feta this is um specifically dedicated to Wendy and hot Tommy um because last week we um were also making a um a Greek dish we had fed up and I forgot it okay I’m sorry that I needed to have my hand like slapped on that okay I couldn’t believe you forgot it I cannot believe that we forgot it either but I was making sure that we are not going to forget it today so this is for Wendy and HT they were trying to let us know I didn’t see it love girl baking said I was never able to try an Orange Julius so does that mean orange julus is over is that I thought I think it does okay when did that happen I don’t know love gross baking try this instead this is going to be way better okay so the next superfood we’re going to add is an ingredient called Maca it’s a root it doesn’t it has a very I like the smell of it smell it oo it smells like um it’s like caramelly almost yeah why why or like butterscotch or something add in a little pinch so MAA is an adaptogen so what that means is it helps your body adapt to stress okay barbecue mama is in for a tree okay so a tiny bit of that then you guys know I love my hemp milk and then don’t anyone come at me saying hemp hemp seeds don’t have nipples I know we get a lot of those comments too literally every time but we’re going to add in my hemp pumpkin seed milk here and then okay so we’re going to add in that we’re going to mix it up and make sure everything’s really nicely Incorporated you’re not add salt to this I didn’t season it at all okay guys we’re going light with the salt um even though that still kind of look like a lot just because the fet is salty the olives are Salty The Pickled turnup is salty so don’t go I feel like I added a bit too much we’re about to find out we’re about to find helps you adapt to Maddie all right okay evil llama I’ll take that adap toin that that should be like their tagline okay so then we’re going to add in some ice because every smoothie Budd buddy this looks phenomenal my drink or that yeah you looking at what I’m doing but that looks incredible too but look at like is you know how you were saying about the stirring of stuff like look yeah you’re kind of you’re K everywhere the this bow is a little bit too small for this but like that looks so good buddy that looks phenomenal okay I think we need to add some more um olive oil here okay so here’s our drink we’re going to garnish off with a little tiny rhubarb um again cuz you can eat it fresh you can eat it raw just like that and we’ve got a beautiful straw in there for barbecue mama is this not a beautiful would this not be a beautiful Mother’s Day drink yes I don’t what is with the mother’s day and this this would be a delicious Mother’s Day um lunch in salad so if you if you were doing this in a blender which is obviously how you’re supposed to make it smoothie but I don’t want it to be too loud for you guys you could blend the ice in it but we’re just going to serve over ice that I like it like that for barbecue Mama barbecue Mama I’m not even going to try it cuz I know it’s going to be fantastic this is for you thank you very much Wendy saying it looks like a pretty drink yes Wendy I totally agree doesn’t it now this is a test does she enjoy it let’s that is really good and a little bit sweet good yes tart and sweet HT saying that looks so good what tart and sweet yes okay no I think I nailed it with the dressing here do you have your um are the are those still on there yeah so what I’m going to do they’re not they’re on there but they’re off to the side okay I thought they were still on the D’s guys we are we have made an absolute disaster to we’re going to need to bomb the girl Studio after this okay so actually let’s just leave that let’s
