This dispute has been going on now for 15 years. It’s time to just let it go. Yes, the Carolina Reaper is probably the 7 Pot Primo, but Ed will never admit to this. Troy will still sell his Primo sauces and Ed will continue to bask in the glory of his stolen “creation” and nothing will ever change.

Well, this conjecture totally invalidates the existence of the CR.
It’s just like how Calculus stopped working as soon as people found Leibniz likely developed it first and Issac Newton gave it the fancy name “Calculus” instead of “the science of fluents and fluxations” that Leibniz called his discovery.
To this day, Isaac Newton’s name is forever tarnished and nobody really remembers him.
