I was given these veggies by my local Korean grocer because they were expiring soon, but I didn't ask what they were.
Cna you tell me?
The one on the left looks like it's from the onion family, but they're definitely not normal green onions

taro and spring onions?
I just saw those onions at my local Korean food market. They were called “Chinese Onions” on the package. I’d never seen green onions that skinny before so I went to look at the package to see if they were large chives! You can make pajeon!!!
I don’t know what the other things are. They look like baby coconuts.
The left one is eddo (related to taro), which is toxic when uncooked. This is traditionally made into a soup.
The right the Koreans call dallae. Can be used in many different dishes, but excellent as a kimchi.
Enjoy!
The root vegetable is taro and the onion looks like Korean wild chives because of the small bulb and flat leaves.
taro (brown) and chives (green)
The one on the right looks like nira chives, which are great in soups/ramen.
