hey everybody welcome back to another episode of The Twist if this is your first time stumbling on my video my name is chazi and here I twist a lot of things my mom showed me in her beautiful beautiful traditional kitchen so today I’m extremely excited because we are traveling to Lebanon where we’re going to be making some garlic deep also known as tomb if you ask me I will say garlic deep stands out as one of the best or the world’s best dips to enjoy with roasted Meats I mean you can use it to enjoy any roasted meat of your choice chicken lamb beef just name it and the most interesting part is it takes you about 10 minutes and you need just four ingredients yes I said you need just four ingredients and this will take you about 10 minutes to prepare it let’s see maximum 15 minutes all right so now join me in the kitchen let’s do this together guys like I told you earlier guys we need just four ingredients so here we have one and A2 cup of peeled garlic I have here some lemon I’m going to be squeezing it to um extract the juice and then we’ve got um three three cups of oil and 2 tpoon of salt I’m using the pink Himalaya salt but you can use any salt of your choice all right so this is just what we need and we need about 10 minutes because I did peel my garlic beforehand uh off camera and yeah few minutes we need to squeeze out our lemon juice right so let’s just quickly squeeze out our lemon juice and get one4 cup of lemon juice so that is 1/4 cup of lemon juice and that’s what we’re going to be using today so straight in our blender we’re going to add in our garlic that’s 1 and 1/2 cup of garlic and then our salt and then just crush it with a blender nicely so I’m just crushing it with a blender and I’ll use my spatula to um scrip the edges and put everything together because you do not want to have any solid um garlic in your garlic paste or your garlic D so I added in some oil and my lemon juice I’ll be putting this in beads and then I blend and I add some oil and some garlic so you’ll notice that once you do this once you add your oil and lemon um the texture changes it becomes thicker it becomes fluffier and even the color changes it looks whitish now I used canola oil I forgot to mention you can use any cooking oil of your choice but I will not recommend olive oil because olive oil is going to change the taste and the color of your garlic dip all right guys so we keep blending we keep blending continuously and at the end of the day this is what we’ve got just look at how pretty it looks it looks like um snow it’s so fluffy and I mean the aroma is just Heavenly trust me the aroma is Heavenly it’s beautiful so yeah I’m just going to go ahead and dish it in my bowl and refrigerate it for a while before I enjoy it with my grilled chicken so I did make some grilled chicken to half this with all right guys so give this a try and let me know what you think in the comment section if you’ve never tried this please do give it a try it’s extremely lovely it’s extremely delicious and tasty and of course it’s kind of healthy so this is what I had like I told you earlier I love my um garlic dip with some fresh carrots and also cucumbers I love them and I did make some grilled oven grilled chicken so I’m going to show you I’m going to quickly um show you how I prepared this great chicken it was awesome as well it was out of this world so I quickly dropped my slice onions in a blender garlic um scotch bonnet pepper and some white pepper yeah then I added in a little bit of cooking oil because I do not want to add water so I just added a little bit of cooking oil I blended everything until smooth 10 this is what we got at the end so I just transferred the mix into a bowl added in my my salt and my smooth paprika so I’m adding it about a teaspoon of smoth paprika for some smooky flavor and taste and I added in some um sea salt you can use any salt of your choice all right just give it a good tetir and add in some melted butter so I added half a cup of melted butter mixed it nicely oh my God the aroma at this stage was wow then onto my clean chicken I just cut open my chicken and then marinated it with the mix I used my knife to pierce my chicken in order to you know let my marinate penetrate right up to the bones guys and in a bowl I Dr my chicken and then went ahead to massage it with the mix with the marinade just give it a good massage and let it sit for a couple of hours but as always I am doing the overnight marinade so I kept it in the refrigerator and this is the next day so 100 years later so I wore my gloves and massage my chicken nicely because you know I don’t want to feel that burning sensation on my hands thanks to the scotch Bonet pepper then I placed it on a grill and put it in my oven so I’ll let it cook for about 20 minutes and this is what we have I’ll just go ahead use my brush and then brush it with some marinade again and some butter oil and then flip the sides and take it back into the oven guys there is nothing as delicious as a well seasoned grilled chicken all right so we’re just going to flip out the side of our chicken to the neat full and then put it back in the oven let it cook for about 25 to 30 minutes depending on the size of your chicken if you’ve got an extremely large chicken you need to let it cook quite longer all right so this is what we’ve got at the end of it all well grilled crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside it’s lovely it was delicious guys it was you know it was scrumptious yes so let’s just serve this and enjoy it with our garlic dip all right so this is what we have here I’m just going to serve my garlic deep and a bit of carrot because I really love having them with carrot having the Deep with carrot so we just going to go ahead and enjoy this delicious meal you can have it with some Arabic bread you can have it with fried potato chips that’s aesome as well but yeah I prefer having my vegetables
