Thai food has some of the most generous portions I’ve ever seen. The only downside about this pad Thai is the high sugar and carb content.

However, this can give me 3-4 low cal satisfying meals. It’s so densely packed in this container.

I find most Asian takeout is generously oversized.

To literally answer your question, that’s a very niche thing to talk about haha.

This looks yummy! Pre-portioning takeout is a great idea to enjoy your favourite foods ^_^

“high sugar and carb content” pretty big downside for people who have 1200 calories a day to spare

Why do people always mention portion sizes? Just don’t eat it all.

Largely dependent on where you are. The portions can be small and high priced.

With takeout food like this it actually makes me sad it’s not smaller portions. I want like a platter that has a small amount of 4 or 5 different things! I always am afraid to try new dishes because I know I will get SO much and if I don’t like it it’s a waste and sometimes I have more than one or two favorite dishes and don’t want to limit myself to just one…

I believe they’re intended to be shareable portions (but I always eat mine entirely on my own)

How do you figure out the calories for Resturant thia food?? It one of my favorite things but it just looks soaked in oil so I only have it like once a month in a “no counting” day lol … I’d love to just eat a smaller amount on a regular day but I can’t figure out how to calculate the calories

Looks like heaven to me. And about 3 meals.

This is actually what I love about asian take outs. Huge portions mean that I only eat half of it to divide it into two equal meals, which is definitely less than I’d eat if I were to make something on my own but it feels enough or I just add veggies. On top of that I feel like I save money.

    So, wins all around.
