hi y’all this is Maddie from Maddie’s kitchen and today I’ll be making you all some tuna fish salad and uh what I’ll be putting in my tuna fish salad that most people don’t put in like some people do from the south I’ll be putting eggs in my tuna gotta find out that eggs make a tuna salad taste good tuna fish taste much better than without it without it I cause when I was a child that’s the only way I know you eat tuna you have to eat with eggs with my mother and she didn’t have no eggs she didn’t make no tuna but I’ll be getting back with you all with the ingredients okay y’all back with y’all I’ll be for my tuna I’ll be used I’ll tell you what they are this is about seven eggs seven or eight eggs this sweet relish and this is yellow mustard mayo and here’s some salt and this is pepper and I might put a little celery seed and although I’ll be using celery too and here’s uh like I said the solid point I have a corn Tunes I use star kiss it doesn’t matter what name it is if it’s on sale get it and here’s my bell pepper and here’s the uh red onions and these from yellow onions here’s some celery and this is some jalapeno pepper I put a little bit in just for a kick and here’s my sugar and these are things I’ll be using okay the tuna I do make sure you drain your tuna and all the water out of it and break it up because that’s what I do that’s the first thing you do and I’ll be I’ll be to be putting my wet ingredients and I’ll be using when I like I told you when I measure this hot mess I take and go all over go all the way across and then when you go all the way across that’s a good thing you learn on this on your own on this they didn’t teach you that you’ll know you have enough because you don’t want to put too much in here because you got a lot of ingredients okay then he’ll be using the Red Onion I’m gonna do the same thing I’m gonna go across it just like this go across and then you know if I taste and I think I need a little bit more and I will do that so that’s my right now here’s some yellow onions these are sweet they call them yellow sweet onions same thing they don’t have much tuna and I’ll be making three videos a day y’all and here’s some celery and I’ll tune into my uh videos I tried I make some good videos I just need y’all to subscribe and help me with subscribers and look at the uh look at the commercial that’s how you get paid y’all look at him do something else and just there and look at them and it’s a little jalapeno pepper put just a tap in there okay so I got all of my wet I’m gonna put the eggs in after I stir this up I’m gonna stir this up good see how I look I might need to put a little bit more on here but I got to put radish in here too I forgot I put some Relish in here to even it out so you look at it good you don’t want to over bear it with a vegetable so I’m gonna put my sweet rollers and what I do when I do rollers y’all I take and use a fork and try to get some of the juice out it no matter if some fall in there because that’ll help sometimes the juice vinegar helps it uh um separate they’re easy to separate don’t get goo and stuck you know I get stuff so that’s about enough relish so I’m gonna stir this up and look at it and I probably hadn’t putting these jalapeno pepper you could have put um you could have put a red crushed pepper you know and I’m gonna put I’m gonna put a little bit more uh uh bell pepper and it’s missing like I need a little toward them and looked across and I can see that’s what’s missing making a mess here okay I’m gonna stir this up and see okay and make a tuna this tune would be good because if you play with it like I’m doing and do it like I’m doing you have some good tuna let me the more I you know I take and make sure it’s even not distributed even it tastes pretty good and you know what make us make tuna is celery you need that’s why I’m gonna use celery seeds too that makes that’s what makes a tunnel okay now I’m gonna put uh some eggs in here I put a little eggs in here now I’ll put the eggs last so I’m gonna add my dry in there and put a little salt in here so I spread it all the way across the same way I do the vegetables a little pepper because you don’t want to overdo it put a little more pepper and I’m gonna put these celery seeds in here the thing is made difference okay that’s that so I got all my dry I got salt pepper and celery seeds and now I’m gonna stir this up a little bit like I said flavor make sure you got it even because you don’t want to have too much of something in here you can taste it if you want to but I’m gonna wait till the last taste fine pepper that smells good helping the celery seeds okay next thing I’m gonna do it no matter what order you do it I’m gonna put my Mayo like I said doesn’t matter I always put a little mustard that calm it down and I’m gonna get me a put my mail in here then I’m gonna Stir It Up I hope I got enough one one two I’m gonna try with three first then I’ll come back out and start with three and since it’s Stir It Up Make sure you don’t have it on wet up and not looking good yeah that’s the looking got all the stuffing I need to put in here and I’m gonna throw my eggs in here my eggs are just like I said I cooked seven to eight eggs but I don’t know I don’t think I’m gonna put all of this in there because it’s gonna require a little uh a little uh more Mayo so I put about this about seven so an egg is more than a teaspoon a tablespoon and know that now okay stir this lightning because you don’t wanna uh make your food look you know I like my eyes and look you know like look good on the plate so you do it gentle throw it up Last Summer I like my phone I gotta add a little bit and taste it see what else I need I’m gonna put a little bit more eggs and a little bit more Mayo they don’t stretch it that much but you might look up and get a sandwich a little relish see I know about stuff because I’m so used to doing I haven’t half of how much you’re supposed to put in stuff I never overseas and even and I don’t measure I don’t know I guess I got that natural because I definitely don’t Magic you might see me do something one way time and next time I don’t but like you said start eyeballing your food that’s what I do taste this emotion the sugar some mayo in it and that’s gonna be a tuna easy to do make sure you follow my instructions so you can have some good Tunes this Mayo in here set this aside and stir this up all of the day my guns I’m gonna taste it see how much sugar do I need sugar see that look like tuna to me so you look age you ain’t got two men in there taste give me that’s that’s a lot hmm this is good I need a tap the only thing I need is for sure just a little bit now okay it’s good I don’t need nothing else see how like I said I don’t really have the measure but you know new cook you do like I say when you’re measuring your Vesper spread your vest but all all over your spread all the way across and when you do your salt do all of the things with a whole different food don’t do it real heavy do it lightly and you’ll have it tastes mine’s always come out perfect I’ve been doing that for so long okay now that looks good I’m gonna put this on the plate it’s good let me taste with the sugar I didn’t taste with the sugar I’m gonna taste with the sugar sugar remember tap them over something out on just a tap on and they got that kick out like it’s good though I can taste them jalapeno peppers okay though see it I put it on I’m gonna put it on a plate garnish it up and put it on You are 100% on how important it is to learn to eyeball your food. There are too many recipes out there with different measurements that never work out the way they promise. I've experienced many flops in the kitchen even though I followed measurements perfectly. It is better to be shown, to learn to eyeball your food and to taste it at times. What a difference that makes in the finished product! And it makes the process a lot more fun too 🙂

My mother used to enhance the flavor of tuna fish by mixing a little bit of sugar and vinegar in a dish. Then stirring it to melt the sugar and adding it to the tuna. This made it taste so much better without it being too sweet. She also did this with potato salad.
This we made tuna salad the same way.
I always use eggs. I'm from South Florida.
