Did I find a steal or is it an oldie? It’s medium and missing a table on one side. Either way I’m stoked to use a non electric smoker. Please share the dos and donts and teach this young padawan what you’ve learned in your experience

You are going to have a lot more than $125 dollars worth of fun with it!

Nice find dude! Egg looks newish, and includes the new sliding top instead of the older daisy wheel. I would suggest getting/making a better base or table for it – I had the modular rolling nest and it can be prone to tipping if the wheels hit a rock or something similar if you move it. Easiest first smoke would probably be a pork butt (use the ceramic heat deflector that was included), or you can grill some burgers or steaks. Always “burp” the egg (google for a video) when opening it when cooking to prevent massive fireball flare-ups and save your arm hair. Do not use charcoal briquettes with lighter fluid soaked into them. In fact, don’t use lighter fluid at any point with the egg. The porous ceramic will absorb the vapors and your food will taste like lighter fluid for a while. Other than that, learn as you go, make mistakes, and after enjoy the new egg!
