i have a very big appetite during my period and don’t want it to hinder my weight loss, so would this be a good idea? does it make any sense?

It makes sense if you can function on 1300 cals.
I’m a big proponent of exercise and productivity, and don’t find 1300 to be enough for any decent activity.
Id sooner hard train week 1-3 then pile those cals on week 4. (And do minimal activity as a rest week)

Absolutely. I average over a given week, too. I like to go out to eat on weekends so I budget a little less for my calories Monday thru Friday to make room for my weekend treats.
