In this video i will be teaching you how to make coctel de camarones/ shrimp cocktail

welcome to Grandma Ciavarella’s cocina and recipes today we are making cocktail de camarones or shrimp cocktail all my friends some of my friends have been asking for this recipe and my grandkids and my kids so I am showing how I make it so to start you’re going to have these are the ingredients you need it’s mainly fresh vegetables that you would use for pico de gallo there’s onion tomato serranos cilantro limes and tomato juice Clamato juice and our shrimp so first we’re going to start by adding all our chopped up ingredients some serrano peppers chopped up fine there’s about three serrano peppers cilantro chopped up fine about a bunch which is about four tablespoons one whole onion chopped three large tomatoes chopped we’re going to add tomato juice eight ounces of tomato juice and we’re going to add tomato juice eight ounces of tomato juice and this is really to taste if you want it juicier you can add more liquid to it it’s really a matter of taste you can add or take away if you don’t like it as spicy you don’t need to put that much peppers in it we’re also going to add lime juice I’m going to squeeze a whole lime in here we’re going ahead salt and it’s really salt to taste so you can add it and if you need more you add more you can also add avocados chopped up if you like avocados I walk like this which are really good in this we’re going to add some Valentina because we like it spicy the spicier the better and I’m forgetting my ketchup I want some ketchup in there you want a big squeeze of ketchup fix this then you add your shrimp and the shrimp is cut up large shrimps and some I mix it with some small shrimp so it’s cooked frozen shrimp and it’s about 4 cups of shrimp so you mix this and you can kind of see if it needs more liquid you add more liquid to it and also you taste it if it needs more spice you can add more spice you just can’t take away the spice so go easy on that if you’re not sure well this is all there is to it so let’s give it a little taste here mmm add a little more salt very good in this you can serve as an appetizer you can have it for when you will have people over for watching the games a soccer game or football or just because you you’re hungry for something fresh and good so and here you have Govinda come out on this or cocktail shrimp enjoy

  9. note for the way i made it – no tomato juice but used extra clamato in its place. added cucumber and avacado. used no valentina and only a small amount of jalapeno. This was absolutely the most delicious shrimp cocktail i've ever had. i drank the leftover sauce.

  10. Your demonstration was great, and you are so cute, but the camerawork made me motion sick. I'd reshoot this another time and reload it.
