Do you eating Banchan with rice? Or eat banchan first or eat rice first?

    Rice in mouth, then banchan in mouth.

    Bite of banchan, quickly followed by a fat bite of rice. The flavor of the banchan will coat your mouth, and then the rice will make it seem more substantive and just taste better.

    Either order is fine honestly, I think banchan first is better, but I don’t like mixing the banchan and rice before eating usually.

    If I’m doing the tabletop grill thing, I snack on a bit of banchan while I wait for the meat to cook, but save most of it to wrap in lettuce or gim with meat and rice. If I don’t have stuff for wrapping, I’ll just eat the banchan alone. If I have a lot of banchan I want to use before it goes bad, I’ll dump it in a bowl of rice like a pseudo-bibimbap.

    Depends on the banchan. Sometimes by itself, sometimes with rice, sometimes before or after rice. I don’t think there is a wrong way.

    Depends on the banchan and what the “main” is.

    Soup + rice always. Banchan before, during and after 😋

    Bbq is lettuce or sesame seed leaves and ssamjang and maybe banchan. Not much rice consumed for me.

    I never eat kimchi on an empty stomach so if I’m not eating it with something else I will always eat it with rice, but I absolutely LOVE green onion kimchi and rice together. I make it VERY regularly!
