Pizzeria Cinq in Osaka blew me away. I've been to Italy many times and it's always pizza heaven. Yet this guy in Osaka is the equivalent of an Italian pizza master. I'm not a big fan of cherry tomatoes normally, but this was incredible. Cheese partially melts into the sauce, cherry tomatoes get cooked just enough, perfect amount of basil. And the crust retains perfect texture even after sitting on the plate for a couple minutes. Doesn't get soggy — has great chew with excellent flavor.
I have aspirations for my pizza making skills. But I don't think I'll ever be able to make a pizza like this. If I did I think I'll just have to quit work and eat pizza for every meal until the money is gone.
Husband and wife owned shop. Absolutely worth a visit. 3rd visit there, consistent quality.
