[Music] the street vendors is being part of the culture of New York the icons could be hot dogs shis Kebab pretzels but of course I think that one of the most recognized product right now in the city it’s nuts for nut in my country is more well n right now we’re doing about 250 to 300,000 lbs of nuts a year I’ve been over 30 years and I still when I see the nuts I always get to eat some of them trust me once you try one of those it’s almost automatically become part of your life and I feel like I’m officially nuts for nuts we’re here in atoria in our warehouse this is how we receive the peanuts this is a big tote of peanuts 2200 lb of jumbo red Runner peanuts and is coming directly from Georgia you can swim on it out of the quantity and this this is uh the area where we packaging the nuts for the street [Applause] vendors [Music] for got Nats for natas provide job for over a thousand people on the streets usually we are somewhere between 60 and 7 and Time [Music] Square being a vendor in New York is a fantastic experience usually you arrive in the morning and mid morning where the things are slightly quiet excuse me watch out suddenly see the rush the people your office become entire SE how are you my friend people don’t go out in the morning thinking oh I’m going to be hungry I’m going to eat honey roast and nuts and when you smell then suddenly crave a desire that you want to have it so you want to mix yeah all right smells amazing I have the small size and the large size the large size the large size you don’t you don’t need to close it I’ll just no all right this R is first comfor serve but vendors we have another code which is respecting each other spot listen has been fights in the beginning was very rough and I was involved with a lot of fights but after a while you’re just becoming a balance between each other so vendors pretty much respect each other for where Fleet got diminished a little bit during the pandemic but we are growing online from here we distribute directly whatever has to do with the online and doing the special events we are now based in Ator we are going to go with this rut we’re going to transport them into the r [Music] machine in Argentina is a classic say and especially when there is a parades of soccer game my father when we used to go out he says okay you can have one item so usually we always go for gñ thanes to my childhood no question about it [Music] fore so I established myself basically on The Late 1992 so in the beginning I just bought one card then I bought a second one by 1996 when I joined forces when my business partner he was doing some other classical item iconic item back on the day day which what’s called fro so we join forces we expand all over the city and and that’s how we became the iconic product in New York so these are uh The Hoppers that we put the product in peanuts is our staple our main thing cashews is second place almonds third this is actually our 30th birthday we made our name on the streets people have liking us to you know the aroma of New York City which is uh High Praise that’s music to our us we have a large variety of nuts this is a gift box so we have chocolate covered peanuts honey roasted peanuts cashews peans and hazelnuts we do all the online but we also have like retail stuff everything is made by hand you know so that’s what I feel is very unique about this this is my Bible here this is where I write down all the orders and then I I check everything that I have everything perfect for the Final Destination the whole idea of creating this facility in the first place was to be able to take our product on a more Regional and national scale we now uh wholesale our product to uh stores in the area to supermarkets such as St Leonard’s and Zars and Grace’s Marketplace JFK Airport you know hopefully you’ll see us coast to coast in not too long usually I say that when I see somebody misbehaving or uh being a spoiled I said that person needs to be few years behind a c in year so it teach you a lot about how to live in community also being a very constant in your job because you need to be able to protect the corner where you are because you really learn a lot of lessons on being on the street of New York the first corner I built myself was 52nd and third back of the day and when I ared as an student and the 1990 it took me about two weeks to learn back then and then of course the practice into the push Cuts every day so now without the liquid the Heat have nowhere to perform but ins size the cashet itself come something crispy and easy to eat when you hear that noise is because the process is on the right track it’s a wonderful energy see people you know coming to you with a level of of Happiness knowing that they’re going to have a a great time so you get that energy and you smile back as a vendor you want the cashes or you want the peanuts you get to see so many people that you become a master in about eye contact sometimes when you look at a people what is their life about why they look happy or why they look worried so you are somehow part of the daily life you know B that has been there for 20 25 years they feel like the street is their family Ro you can tell the energy the vibration of the city everyone is becoming to be part of that stage and you are just another actor in the stage you see the rush of the people and the desperation to get to one place to the other and sometime you just are there seeing them in quietness you are in the idle storm I see not for not being part of the city forever [Music] we

People with nut allergy should have hard time 😂😂😂

Awesome
I love the assimilation.
🔥
When these were $1 a bag I used to always grab one whenever I passed a cart. When the price started going up I stopped. Really good nuts though.
They are just pure sugar. I wish they actually tasted like peanuts.
seriously that much sugar?>
I use to live in nyc and also would visit. I always got 2 to 3 bags of those sweet delicious hot Peanuts. Especially on a cold night catching the train. I miss the pizza, hotdogs, peanuts and bagels. Love you New york.
Only $2 a bag? in NYC? 3 for $5? You could easily raise that to $3 ea and 2 for $5 and no one would notice. He had these prices 5 years ago. You can't tell me costs have not gone up for him. But good for him on being so successful.
Nuts 4 nuts in your mouth 😂
I'm deathly allergic to nuts but every time I i pass one of these stalls I'm so tempted to risk it all! The smell is too good
Words can not describe how heavenly these nuts smell after a long day in the office!
100 dollars in a couple hours? That’s weak
Pause
Remember seeing these carts all over the city when I was a kid in the 90s
They used to have it in Melbourne, Australia 2016 .. City Streets…
That warehouse must have a hard time keeping out the rats, they can sniff it a mile away.
so essentially this crack the code of how to be happy. what a personality….
300 pounds of nut a year lol sorry my childish mind came into play lmaoo
they're way too expensive tho
So much plastic and blame other countries for pollution 😂
There are a load of variety of food carts in NYC with so many various ethnic foods and there they are, selling roasted nuts which is basically snacks. Usually people get tired of doing same things within 5 years. They kept on improving on for 30 years with the same passion every single day. This is old school entrepreneur mentality and a lost art.
he working there for 20 years and still cant speak English!!!
nothing beats the Pinoy MANI, or Street Peanuts that's FRIED, with lots of GARLIC CHIPS, Crispy CHILI FLAKES, slightly salted but most of all, the important MAGIC ADDITIVES are TONS OF MSG
Honey roasted peanut btw xd
They say it's honey but I see them putting sugar? what does it taste like?
Get some equipment! It's silly that these are being packaged by hand.

I have a severe allergy to nuts and yet I was so fascinated by this lmao
nuts are seeds, and they poisonous to humans
Did they stop using powered honey in their mix?, it just looks like they use just sugar now
I also tell people I made my name on the streets, too.
